Isn't it comforting to have this safehouse?

You have no idea how thankful I am to have just recently found this board!  It has been an incredible find for sure.  There are a lot of great people, helpful people.  It's a wonderful place to just spew...whether it's happy, sad, positive, negative, inquiring, whatever.  Our jobs, for better or worse, define who we are.  It's so nice to have a place to "talk shop" with others who can relate, and that can be an incredibly hard thing in a world where a work-at-homer (that just looks so retarded spelled out, but that's how I say it) is viewed by an awful lot of folks as someone who sits around diddling on the computer doing nothing, sipping coffee, and doing anything BUT work.

You know that isn't true, I know that isn't true, and everyone else on this board knows it too

so wonder what is so comforting about being under our desk and on our foot pedal??
I have gotten a habit now that if i get up in the middle of a job, i write down where i am in the job in case the pedal gets sat on again so i don't have to search trying to find it. i also had a cat who we adopted from being outside that liked to climb up and sit on my shoulder. no problem, comfy for us both til she decided to get down and her way down was right on my keyboard and cat mungo typed.
