it is very hard. My son was a very difficult baby and had reflux disease and basically never really slept and I worked when he slept and basically I never slept.  You will definitely need to get some help or you will be basically just ignoring your baby to work, which I have had to do on many occasions.  It is hard when you have a deadline and you are telling your child just go play and they want you.  You can probably work part-time and make it work but any more you will just need help.  I was lucky and was able to get great-grandmom to come over and just play with my son. I took care of all his basic needs but since he is an only child, she kept him company.  Good Luck.  I have to say though that I have seen what some of the daycares look like and I would keep your baby home if at all possible.
