It reads like a response to a prayer request.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for our little dog, Fluffy,  who is in the hospital right now and on oxygen.  We just came from there and he is having a lot of difficulty breathing.  He has swelling on his spinal cord and they are unable to do additional testing to find out why because of this complication.  Please everyone say a prayer for him that his breathing stabilizes and they can find out what the problem is.

Thank you and God Bless

your post reads

to me as though you are an experienced MT who is looking to stay in the field, but would be interested in the other positions you mention, but that you do not have experience in the said other positions.

That may not be how the poster who responded to your original message read it and it may not be the case, but, generally speaking, when someone wants to break into something they do not have experience with that something.

If she reads get her a gift card for
Barnes and Noble or your local bookstore.  I get one every year for Barnes and Noble and it's my favorite gift.  If I don't feel like going out, I can order what I want on the net with the card.
I do believe the administrator reads most of these posts if not all.
So in fact I believe I was addressing the administrator letting her know my opinion as well. Don't get your panties in a wad over a harmless suggestion to skip something, I won't be continuing this nonsensical conversation any longer, enough said. See ya.
I disagree with both of these and hope the OP reads this too.
CHRIST can change a life, I have no doubt of that.  You sound like you really want this to work, and in time you'll find if your husband is being honest or not.  I think it's a great thing that you're willing to change religions to accommodate your relationship.  Seek out a church together where you can both be happy and fellowship and worship together (i.e., Methodist, Baptist, Assembly of God, etc).  Try one for a few weeks, then check out another.  Talk to people in your area about where they go to church, what it has to offer, etc.  Find the right fit your both of you.  I pray your husband is willing, because it will make your connection stronger.  He needs counseling, that's for sure.  If he truly is repentant and doesn't want to have this happen again, he will.  Forgiveness should be available if he's truly sorry for the life he's put you through.  BUT, if he hits you again after saying he won't RUN.  You and your kids deserve a better life than this and you truly sound like you've pretty much had all the responsibility up til this point, so you can do it.  God bless.
oh, okay... I hope someone reads your post

You might want to try posting on the state boards also.  They don't seem to be too popular, but its worth a try.  Maybe you can call around other satellite hospitals and ask?  Sorry your having problems.

If you are an IC & your contract reads like an employee
treated as an employee you can also contact the Labor Board.
Very well written - hope he reads it! nm

agree- hope the OP reads your post
Sisters may be reaching out in a friendly way and to rebuff that would be sad. Even though forwards are irritating, I think most people agree, some are informative and some are good for a smile anyway
Would you be willing to transfer what the letter reads to this site? I just went to the mailbox and
nm.
Poll- who reads/proofs reports after typing?

do you quickly glance at the report, read it word-for-word, or just cross your fingers and hope you didn't miss anything?

I'm just curious.

Oh he reads this board alright. I used to post my e-mail in my posts.
I use to post on the offshore board a lot.  He took the liberty of writing me and telling me his opinion several times. I finally just blocked his e-mail. He reads here.
If the receipient declines to acknowledge receipt but reads the email,
saying that is what happened, so either way, you know the person got and read it.
available upon e-mail request

Quick Reference Guide (24 pages) as well as Instruction Manual (114 pages)

I think it would be appropriate to request this account.
If you are already familiar with the account you will be more productive and that is to the advantage of the company.   I recently applied to a company that has an account that I had worked on for many years.  I did not request this account, but did state that I had worked on it for many years and this was the account they had planned to put me on.  I ended up not taking the position because the company offshores.
I got the login request, too
Couldn't even SEE a webpage because it was asking for login and password.
per your request, I just emailed you *S*

request an abatement
We are in something similar right now. The IRS kept our refund this year and after some checking around we found out that we still owed $2500 in principal plus interest and penalties from a business my husband had 9 YEARS AGO. We have gotten refunds every years since then. It's insane. I sent them a check for about half of it, which covered the principal and sent a letter requesting an abatement (cancellation) from interest in penalties, detailing why this was justified. Probably won't work but worth a try. They cashed the check super fast but still waiting to hear on the rest.
References available upon request (sm)

References are private information and I would just state the above at the end of the resume. I've done this for years without a problem. If the employer is interested in hiring you, they'll ask for them.

saying a prayer for you

Thank you!! I did request a stop payment and a nm
wire transfer or overnight but have had no response yet but it hasn't been that long either. Waiting for a response. I did email someone else who also works for them but no response from that yet either. My point is exactly as you said, being a week late, i am in deep trouble and it has costed me a lot as i go from check to check so like me and my kiddos are starving waiting on this check, lol. on the other hand, i make good money with this acct and don't want to tick them off as i love this acct but i am in a bind needing my money.
I would ignore the request and if they persist
tell them absolutely not!

I would not give any samples of my hard work to anyone.
I think you should request that your case openers
be fellow MTs, a bunch of us round-bottom women instead of those skinny little girls. That'd be a treat!
Strange request from MTSO

I applied with a company that advertises on this site.  One of their requests was that they wanted a picture of my home office and one of myself - a full body shot - I thought that a little strange.  I didn't know whether to contact the IRS or what as far as the home office went - but then, of course, the MTSO which was hiring only ICs required working specific hours, so that blew that deal - since I do know that the IRS can and will disallow your home office deductions if you are an IC and are required to work specific days or hours - as you are then deemed an employee under their rules.  But the picture thing, that just seems weird.

Prayer for 4-year-old boy

I just did pray for him.  Please let us know how he is doing, so we can see the result of our prayers.

Thanks.

Lynn

Nice. Will say a prayer for you both.
and Happy Easter to you and yours. You have your hearts in the Right Place. We have lots to be thankful for.
I do not think her issue was with prayer...

I believe what she meant was that she had never heard this dictated before; therefore, she was questioning it.  She was not questioning whether it is okay for a physician to pray with his patient.

Wow---chill out everyone! OP said nothing against prayer or
it was allowed in a report.

It's no different than asking if typing someone "makes her money on her back" is appropriate. It's not the subject itself---it's whether or not it should be in a medical document because it's not medical. My answer is yes...if the doc dictates it then you put it in. There have been plenty of things over the years I would've left it, but you just put it in.

There's no reason for these attacks on her though...she didn't say anything was wrong with prayer. She didn't say she didn't tolerate anything Christian.

Everyone is WAY, WAY to defensive on this. She could very well be Christian herself, but you don't know that because she didn't say one way or another and didn't say it was good or bad.
Prayer mention
Why is it that no one has any questions as to the mention of abortions or homosexuality or selling sex in any way, but we question a mention of prayer. Christians are supposed to be tolerant of freedom of speech but we no longer have it it seems. We are supposed to accept differences in cultures but we are not allowed to pray in school openly, but homosexuals for example can kiss and hold hands in schools. I am a very tolerant person I just wonder why things like prayer are not tolerated but rather some kind of violation or "no way" type of thought to others who may not believe. And before anyone blasts me I have friends that are very dear to my heart that are gay both female and male, and have atheist and pagan friends. I believe that we all have the right to believe the way we do and express ourselves freely. I am only sorry that we are looking for "rules" to avoid the mention of prayer.
How do you know they said a Christian prayer?
It is very possible that both the patient and physician are Muslims. You are only assuming it was Christian prayer and getting your panties in a knot based on that assumption.
Christian prayer
I know because I know the docs personally. I am a paramedic and have also worked as a nurse in several docs offices.
I see nothing wrong with prayer...sm
If a doctor prays with a patient then I think that is fine if the patient is okay with it. As MTs it is our job to type whatever they dictate. So if they dictate about praying we should just type it and not worry about it. It is a job.
Why shouldn't it be part of the report. It is the doctor's report for that patient. If the patient is okay with it it is not for you as the MT, in my opinion, to decide hey this doesn't belong here. The doctor wouldn't have dictated it if he didn't want it in the report. And I believe when a doctor dictates something it is your job to type it. Don't ask questions, just type, unless it is something you have been trained not to type.
I say even if you don't agree with it and if you don't that by all means is your right as an American citizen. But if he wants it in the report just put it and be done with it.
A Prayer for the New Year

As the dawn breaks on a new year, let us give thanks for all we hold dear: our health, our family and our friends.

Let us release our grudges, our anger and our pains, for these are nothing but binding chains. Let us live each day in the most loving ways, the God-conscious way. Let us serve all who are in need, regardless of race, color or creed.

Let us keep God of our own understanding in our hearts and to chant God’s name each day. Let us lead the world from darkness to light, from falsehood to truth and from wrong to right.

Let us remember that we are all one, embracing all, discriminating against none.

May your year be filled with peace, prosperity and love. May God's blessings shower upon you and bestow upon each of you a bright, healthy and peaceful new year.

MANY reasons to request a read receipt -
One of them is that someone claims to not receive your e-mail when everyone else in the world does. I finally figured out the person I was e-mailing was playing games. SO, not everything has to do with being a control freak.
Call the doctor and request a meeting of all three..
The doctor, wife and you and let him know this needs to happen before they leave as you are in a crunch.  It sounds like he respects you.  If you can get that arranged come right out and explain that the work is already done and needs paid for since you were given no advance warning.  Look her square in the eye and ask questions.  Ask for partial payment....keep the line open.  If it becomes obvious that she wants you gone then bring that up in his presence for verification and so he knows it was not you who jumped ship.   Just my 2 cents.........
Be diplomatic and professional. Sent a written request
again asking to see a copy of the report so you can see where it was QA'd so you can make a notation of it so it will not happen again.  If they don't respond, I'd forget about it, unless it happened again.
I didn't see any kind of request for money ????
Did we take the same survey????
Thanks to everyone for the advice and offer of prayer - sm
How ironic is this. S works in a mental health unit but they don't see children. The psychologist that Tater does see works with children but I think her 20+ years of experience is missing this particular type of behavior counseling.

Still hoping I will hear back from this doctor I wrote to last night to see if she has any advice to offer too.
Danny's on my prayer list
I'm so sorry to hear this happened.  How tragic.  I will keep Danny and his family and you -his good friend - in my prayers.  Best of wishes to all of you.
I am glad you are doing well. Prayer does work

Mention of prayer in reports
I have never run across this problem in the past.  I have a provider stating "we took a few minutes to lift everything up in prayer."  My gut says NO WAY.  But, I can't find a rule to support that.  HELP!
mention of prayer in reports
As mentioned everyone has the right to believe what they want - even Christians. There are several surgeons in this town who pray before beginning surgery. I think it is great, both ways for them and the patient.
Post on prayer board ???

Is that for real? Is it someone here or was that a fwd that was posted? A few things jumped out at me as being inconsistent with the situation presented.

Forgot to add my accounts say "Closed at request of consumer."

Lazy is what they are. I just turned down a request to type for one at the clinic.

Post ads on MT Chat. Also, you can send a request to M-TEC & they'll
get word out to all their grads that you're looking for help.
URGENT REQUEST: An MT that we sent a box of gifts to did not receive the package.

It was delivered to their porch according to UPS but she did not get it.  It contained gifts for her children.  Because we did not put insurance on the package, UPS will do nothing to assist.  The box alone to ship had cost $45.00 and insurance would have cost another $25.00.  It is a sad story, but what it boils down to is that the kids won't have a Christmas.  All monies in the Santa's House for Christmas Angels fund have been dispersed through the Christmas Angel program.

So, I am here to ask for help.  I would like to raise $150 to $200 today if at all possible and for anyone who donates $10.00 or more to this special cause, I will give a software package that contains a word Expander and spellchecker that is worth over $100.00 for your trouble.  Donations can be made to sales@mtstars.com via Paypal.

Again, thank you for your consideration.
