Just remembered ...

In Reply to: Dilemma! Tomorrow is picture day and my 5 yo just went wild w/a jug of blue food coloring -- - MadamX

My youngest was 2-3 yo, wearing a bright grass green terry type jogging shorts suit (OMG, do you remember THOSE?? - tank, shorts ROFL). He got in GREEN food coloring, my niece was watching him while I was in the bank. The food coloring had fallen out of a bag. Luckily, the car (exterior and interior) was green ........ Sure made his bright blue eyes stand out LOLOL .... I THINK I let him get in the bath with lotsa bubbles, etc, and most of it came off. Worth a shot anyway. (this was 20 years ago, so I'm foggy on the details).

At least you were remembered.
How sad that you see the glass as half-empty.  I choose to think of it as half-full - she was not obligated to send you anything.  Ever heard this? "It's the thought that counts!"  When you have a thankful heart blessings are multiplied.
Remembered

Today I went to have my first mammogram and US.  The location I went to was not the office I worked in, but it had the same group of radiologists I had worked for.  As the mammo tech finished her pics and went to see the radiologist, I asked her to tell Dr. R*** hello for me.  (I had already mentioned I'd transcribed for the other office).  She said she would.  After the US, the tech told me Dr. R*** had told her - "Hey, I know that girl!"  And he came running in the door to say hi.  He was all smiles as he came in, and said he was sorry it was under these circumstances (dx mammo), but he was very cute with his enthusiasm to see me.  I was really touched.

(I do have to have a bx; the studies did not indicate either malignancy or benignancy, but it feels benign).

I just remembered,

last week I bought a new Logitech LX3 optical mouse at WalMart, again under $20, which has a USB connection, but it also came with a PS2 adaptor included.

I don't know where or if you can get a cheap flat screen monitor.  I had to buy a replacement for my flat-screen Acer that died but I couldn't afford another new flat screen.  I got a very large monitor that must weigh about 75 pounds - the thing is just huge - but it was only $25 from a custom computer store here in town that sells used and refurbished computers.  They had a bunch of the big ones piled up in the back room (everybody wants the flat-screens) and they said I could take my pick for $25.  I got the biggest one they had.  It's bulky but I'm really delighted with it.

Thanks for the response, I should have remembered. (sm)
Glad you got a laugh out of of it...I figured I could legitimately say I was in training because my Mom had it.  You gave me exactly what I needed, thanks.
Forget it -- I remembered!
Thanks!
Nice being remembered

That's wonderful!  It is very nice when they take even five seconds to wish you a happy holiday season or anything like that.  I've been sick with pneumonia and one of my doc's said in his dictation he hoped I was feeling better and that he would fully understand if I didn't keep my 24-hour return time; he even offered to bring dinner to my home one night for my family.  Another group gave me a nice Christmas bonus and invited me to their office Christmas party.  That is one reason I still like the good ole' fashioned tapes that I pick up and drop off - I get to interact with the doctors and other office staff, which seems to forge a relationship with them.  They realize I'm a human being with a family who works for a reason and that means lots.

Merry Christmas!

it's nice to be remembered
Hi Misha, Whatta thrill you were greeted so enthusiastically and joyfully by that doc. (I can almost see his impish ear-to-ear grin when he burst into the room.) Everything's gonna be alright, kiddo.
I would have been happy to be remembered. My big national..sm

did nothing - zero.  An e-card would have at least let me know they know who I am.  My small account sent me a regular card with a small bonus, which I appreciated VERY much.  It took the person a bit of time to send that card to you, so there was some thought that went into it.

I, personally, am happy to receive anything (even an e-card) than nothing at all.

I'm not an MTSO, just remembered seeing their ad, thought
