Will you really be happy if you stay in a job you really don't want and wonder what IF?
As far as having a similar situation and working at a job for a short time: I did, 7 weeks (shortest job I ever had, but within about 2 weeks knew it was not where I wanted to be or what I wanted to do), secretarial and BORING, then came back to what I loved the most, MTing!
Take the job!
