Modernizing - have ? and need help

Have had my accounts from 4 to 15 years and they are all still using tapes. So trying to go digital and pretty well know what I will buy for that and get the FTP set up done and will probably have some questions when I do there.  But one of the docs have asked about a "call in" and I have seen during my searches some of the sites that allow you to use them so you don't have to buy the call in system and maintain it and you pay so much per minute, etc.  Has anyone used them, if so are they pretty accurate on their charges,  or are they like your cell phone and they up it when you have 3 seconds of a minute?  Any input would be appreciated.  Also has anyone used one of the FTP sites where they charge you so much per month for you "secure storage" of your documents, etc and if so, how did that work out.   Many thanks in advance for your help.   This has been a tug of war to get my docs to give up their tapes but think I am making headway after the last one broke and he had to redictate most of it and it cost me a new machine as no one fixed your transcribers anymore.   Hope all are having a good Weds.
