 Thanks MTinNC
 Thanks MTinNC.

Unfortunately, the problem isn't that I'm too much of a cheapskate to pay for it--the problem is that it is not available where I live.

I just don't understand it--I am *never* bumped offline while I'm working on dialup. I've been doing transcription on dial-up for more than six years and I honestly can't recall even one time when I was ever bumped offline while working.

It's just very frustrating to realize that something so ridiculous is preventing me from finding work and forcing me to face the possibility of losing my home as a result!

 Crazy! MT

I can't remember who I have talked to and who  I haven't, but where in NC are you?  I have had several  people send me e-mails from right around where I live.  One girl lives right aorund the corner from me!   Too weird.  Yes it is high here.  I have been here 23 years this week and I cannot believe how high it is and the wages don't match the living costs.  I know if it weren't for MT.........back in the day when it was good, we couldn't probably have afforded a decent house!  But Asheville is high and getting higher.  Can't afford to move now after being in our house 22 1/2 years.  All these multimillion dollar Mcmanions and I don't know who is going to be buying them.  They are ruining the mountains!
Someone else posted with my MTinNC once...
also, but at least they were not hateful. That is frustrating, though!
 Totally agree with MTinNC, mostly...
Courtesy requires one accept the patient's identity. In certain areas, like the physical examination, though, I switch to "the patient" to avoid any physiologic contradiction or philosophical anxiety. (As for employer rules, except for emergency procedures at nuclear reactors perhaps, they work best when regarded as guidelines to be set aside when needed.)
