It depends on my mood.

I like classical, instrumental, Celtic or New Age if I need to relax.  Rock, pop, 80's music, techno dance, or fast country if I need to get revved up.  DH got me a new stereo for my birthday, so I can put in 5 CDs at a time.

not in the mood to troll lately?

Is someone in a bad mood today?
nm
Either, depends on the day and the mood!

Here's my take (I'm not in the mood for bashing, either!)

I enjoy belonging to AAMT because they keep me informed about what is going on in the industry. I live in a rather rural area and we do have a small component chapter in our area which I also like, as it helps me stay connected with people in this profession in my particular area (networking).  Our meetings are not held on Saturdays, so the other poster who said that may have experienced that, but not in my area.

I do enjoy going to the symposiums--they are not that expensive and I learn a great deal as well as network with other people in my state.  That is priceless, in my opinion.

I also like being involved with a professional association, as I take my profession seriously and want to associate myself with the professional association, and AAMT is it in that regard.  If there were other choices, I might feel differently.

Are they perfect?  Heck, no!  But, the members do elect the people who make the decisions and therefore I feel my voice does get heard.  Do they always do what I want?  No, but no organization would, as everyone has different opinions.

I think it is a personal choice.  I've been in MT for 25+ years and a member of AAMT for the past 12.  I make a very good wage, and yes, I do get compensated for my CMT, though I understand many do not.  I am proud to be a member and plan to keep up my membership as long as I feel my needs are being met which is networking, continuing education, etc.

depends on what mood I'm in

Boy aren't we in a mood

I have too much time on my hands for asking for opinions, yet you are perusing the forums using your TIME?

When you see a company who posts for jobs nearly every day, you wonder anyway what the deal is and this HUGE company with a person making such disgusting statements might have wanted to know why they aren't able to hire and cover the accounts.

Question for those who think the mood here is
Is this how a conversation would go face to face? Would it degenerate into calling one another immature and letting out a great bit yawn, etc? Wouldn't we have a little more restraint when we gave our opinion. I just don't get that part of cyber-communication.

I'm not in the mood to do battle with a person
who thinks they have all the answers.  Suffice it to say that obviously you don't  have any insight or answers or you wouldn't have issues where you sit and call all others "fools" because they don't agree with your opinions/solutions/problems.  This world is just to big and interesting with so much to learn to do battle with a smug person who thinks they know it all.  Simply put, carry on in your IMAGINATION that you got all of us MQMTs and we are forever conquered by your great wealth of knowledge on the proper way to post and handle MQ problems.  In other words, WHATEVER  floats your boat queenie.
Mood and affect are normal

sorry to wreck your holiday mood
but i personnally like to be aware of what is going on around me. We can be thankful on this 4th of July that we are still free -- obviously, many in this world would like to change that. We all need to remain vigilant in our awareness, preparedness and voting for the politicians who will be mindful of our enemies.
ASR funny to lighten the mood...sm
Must be the bitter winters. LOL

My sincere apologies. Was just in a goofy mood
and it struck me funny. Sorry.
I hope tomorrow's better, too! Bad mood today!
