My take...sm

I have also been in both boats, employee and IC, and love the IC status more! I've been MTing for 10 years and just like the flexibility more. I was actually at a company as an IC for a while that changed over to employee status, which I didn't like because of them having more "control" over me. I'm currently at a company as an IC, which I absolutely love. There's no stress, and that's more important than money to me. My husband has insurance so don't need that, and my checks are about the same, but a better account. I wake up knowing I can start when I want to, do things I need to do around the house or for kids, etc. I will never go back to having that stress and being unhappy. It really depends on what you need. If you just want PTO, save it like the others mentioned. That's just my take! :-)
