New IC

Getting ready to start as an IC for Skilled Transcription - 8 cpl.  That seems low, but the owner says it a good rate.  8 cpl is it, it won't go higher.  Just wanted to get some feedback.  I haven't done MT in many years - just trying it part-time to supplement income.  Have already gotten lots of good info from this board - would welcome any tips.

  • Depends. Is it strictly transcribing? Is all patient info provided so you don't waste time? Any d - Deb - nm
  • 8 is NOT good if never going any higher - good to get the rust out in the short term though - in my opinion -nm

  • Starting rate is anywhere from .05 to .08 - sm -
