Oprah's real talent is relating to people, although I happen to think she is a very good actress - her Color Purple performance was absolutely stupendous.

Oprah would not be where she is today if millions of people, mostly we women of all colors and all economic classes, had not supported her. She would not have a talk show if she did not have a viewership, no matter how talented she was.

Just like the pro athletes should remember that they aren't rich because they can dribble a ball, they are rich because someone will pay to see them dribble the ball. All of these celebrities need a reality check.

But, so do the audiences. We are absolutely obsessed with celebrity in this society. Look at that talentless, morally challenged Paris Hilton and all the publicity she gets - makes me absolutely nauseous.
