1099 independent contractor and home business tax preparation. You can't lump your home office and business expenses into a standard 1040 form. You would be scr**ing yourself. I use TurboTax every year and you won't be lost. It takes you through it step by step. You need the Home and Small Business version though, to get all the proper forms and deductions. This version costs about 89.95, and filing fees are about the same, but still less than 350.00 for tax guy. your home office expenses and small business expenses considerably bring down your taxes. do not listen to obvious "inexperience." These deductions are totally different and over and above your "personal" deductions. Find someone with business experience. That's my suggestion.
