Pay

Can anyone tell me what the average pay is for an MT with one years' experience.  I am an IC getting paid .08 cpl on a 65 character line with spaces and can type pretty fast, yet I'm only averaging 7-8 dollars an hour.  I have a multispecialty account.  I also have templates and macros set up.  I have pretty much hit a plateau as far as production.  I thought MTs made fairly decent money.  How long does is take to make better pay?  Any suggestions?  TIA.
