It doesn't really sound as though you're not enjoying QA. It sounds more like you are with the wrong company. I used to work for a company like that, doing QA, where it was all about just pushing the work thru and correcting the really horrible errors but letting the not so bad slide, just so TAT can be made. I had a lot of the same feelings you did, and considered going back to MT. But I decided to check other companies out first. Within 2 weeks, I had a job with a great company (one of the big ones) and I am MUCH happier. The work is still challenging, but it's a GOOD challenging... it's making me use my skills and not just push the work thru. We're encouraged to leave feedback for the MTs, and they actually use and appreciate it. It's a whole different world from where I came from before, and I'm SO much happier. Maybe you need to do the same thing... get with a better company who will actually value your skills and not just treat you like part of an assembly line. Good luck on whatever you decide.
