CMT holds more credibility.

I fear what the future holds too...
Those three beautiful souls growing up thinking this is the normal way to live. Call your family today and start planning to leave this creep. It won't be the easiest thing you've ever done, but it will be the smartest.
I had heard China holds our notes, and this article verifies that. Also, are you

Back decades ago the US had a gentleman's agreement for the oil from Saudi in exchange for us to be their police protection.  Now suddenly the prince of Saudi has been courting Asia to sell it's oil to.  Well, Asia will be a good customer.......for the short haul but China does not have the infrastructure to use as much oil as the US does.

An investor I know keeps telling me there is an expected depression this year or early next (2007).  I keep seeing things that make me think its so.  I know WalMart is doing odd things with its merchandise.  And they are working their employees like slaves! having cashiers do toilets, and working the floors way understaffed.

Other companies are seeing the same thing.  The companies are trying not to reduce their expected profits, so they are taking it off the backs of employees through taking the pensions, whittling off health insurance, less and less holiday leave, making people do the job of 2 or 3 others.

Our economy is built on hot air.

There were more bankrupcys this month than every before.  Also credit cards are getting slower and slower payments in.

People all around me are losing their jobs with the speed of light, I don't care what you READ in the newspaper.  They can print whatever they want to, but the reality is in talking to your neighbors and putting your ear to the ground.  Salaries are going south, people are sitting here like us with no raises for years.

What makes me sick is our govt officials keep feeding vitamins and jobs to countries that HATE us - China and India.  Why in the world!  I know they are under the idea that *democracy* spreads peace in the world, but the *democracy* the United States is spreading right now doesn't look right to me.  We are losing our rights, our homes to eminent domain, being overrun with illegals and yet the illegals are getting the health care (I typed on someone last night who was not working in this country, not even a legal immigrant, and they were doing scads of tests on this person! and yet I sit here having paid taxes for 45 years and can't afford to own a home or go to the dentist.  My car is 20 years old.  Where is my country when I need them?)

Praying here, too. So sorry. nm

praying for them and
for the family to have strength through this ordeal.
Praying

Praying for your friend!!
I am so sorry about their loss, sometimes we are not meant to understand why things happen. "Do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10.

God Bless you and your friends
Praying! Please keep us posted! :-) nm

Praying for Danny
I will be sure to pray for him and his family. Let us know how he is doing. You are a good friend.
Praying more these days....

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is worried about all the school violence lately.  I have three children, two teenagers and a kindergartener.  I worry so much more for them with all that is happening.  I live in a small town where everyone knows everyone else.  I don't feel our security meausres are up to those of the larger schools and that does scare me.  This world has become such a scary place with all the school shootings recently, people cutting fetuses from a pregnant woman's stomach, and just the utter lack of respect for peope in general.  I find myself praying more and more for my family and for those around me.

Sorry to have kept going on and on.  I guess this bothered me more than I had let on.  Please take care and stay safe.

I certainly will be praying for you and your furry child (your other one too)
I hope everything goes well with your trip.  Your dog couldn't be anywhere better than at the vet's if you have to leave her.  I'm sure she will be fine when you get back, but I will be thinking of you.  Whatever is God's plan will be, though.  Hope that helps you.
If someone here doesn't mind praying for someone you don't know, sm
A wheelchair-bound, mentally retarded family friend has gotten badly burned and was taken to a larger city hospital.  The sister tried to see him yesterday but they would not let her in.  We're anxiously awaiting to hear something, but they did tell the sister she could get in at noon today.  It's an awfully long wait when you've taken care of this young man for all his life and something so bad happens.  I don't know the particulars on how it all happened yet, but please say some prayers for this family.  His name is Danny.
Hey Jodi!! Glad you posted! I am praying
for you and proud of you. You are right on track about not moving to be closer to him. And if he tries to argue, always remember to use the reasoning that its the KIDS who are first - its not you versus him. So, the kids should not move closer to him, but rather the other way around!! He has to be sure everything he does is for THEM not him. Though he'll argue that they need to see their daddy - thus why they should move - its psycho warfare, and HE needs to accommodate them. Period! Someday you will look back on this period of your life and hopefully laugh, or at least smile and see what a great decision it was and how worth it for the kids AND you!
I completely understand that feeling. Praying for this family. nm

Good luck. See what luck they're having on the
s
If only we were that luck!!
The web-based email progam SUCKS!!  but no, I'm not saying I hate MQ....in fact, I love working for MQ.  I'm simply saying the new email program sucks and I wish they'd never started it!
Wish I had that luck
Have had them since September and have been on the phone with them about 6 times since. Either my Outlook has errors or no internet and sometimes both. Each time they ended up having to assign me a new ISP #. I had Adelphia and switched to save a few bucks. Seriously considering going back as Adelphia is the only other DSL in my area.
No such luck...

The tech support guy at the MT office attempted to help me 2 days ago, but he couldn't figure it out either.  He was the one that suggested the system restore.  I am quite frustrated at this point to say the least.

As I said, best of luck to you! sm
You are fortunate and you know it.  You are blessed.  Have a great day!
Best of luck to you as well!
Interesting how people can see things so differently. I see my new profession as a way of helping animals get well and being kind to them.

I hated MT and am so glad to finally be out of that profession that I found to be way too solitary as well as unfulfilling. You, on the other hand, see it in a different way and enjoy it.

Very cool how we both found our perfect fit!
Thanks...I really did luck out!

I wish you the best of luck. sm
It is not easy going it alone. Please don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. I am praying for your peace, as well. Let us all know how things are going. Take care of yourself.
Best of Luck
There are so many great people here...we are your support system, so use it if you need to. PLEASE. Are you taking a laptop so you can stay in touch?

I Wish You Luck
I'm sending good wishes and prayers for you that everything works out. I'm sorry you don't have the support you need within your own family, but you have the support of people on MTStars
Not having luck
I appreciate hearing that, but I have been told by recruiters that I would probably only be able to do clinic work aside from ER without further training. I have a few discharge summaries with OPS notes that did include much unfamiliar terminology, and I had to leave blanks. If the dictators would speak clearly, I could just look it up, but that's a dream that won't come true LOL!
Did you have any luck?? nm

I wish I had such luck as you. nm

Everyone wish me luck, getting rid of AT&T
As of this morning, have signed up everything (except cell cause Charter does not carry) with someone other than the nickel and dimer, AT&T. I wrote them an email yesterday and do you think I got an answer? No. I am told their internet is much faster than what I have been used to and keeping fingers crossed. You know sometimes it is hard to change because you do not want to mess up and jump out of the frying pan into the fire. The issue of telling me at the first place I had to have land phone - even though I could not use- they would charge me a nomimal fee- so I could have my internet just sucks big time. That is the end for me. Getting the new provider hooked up 12/31 - just in time for the new year.
Best of luck to you. sm
Looking back 20 years that is how we screwed up - going home to work.  I would jump at the chance to make what I made with bennies 20 years ago and no "middle man" involved.  Good Luck!
No luck with BBB
I filed a complaint with the BBB last year when I didn't receive payment from Four Seasons Transcription as an IC. They can't help. Best thing is to either proceed to small claims court or hire an attorney. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of choices. I went to small claims court and got resolution. I would start there.
Luck?--Please! SM
That 11 cents includes incentive pay for high line production and requires this level of production over a week's period.

You know, working good and steady at a real job, which this is, just isn't punishment for many of us.

AND, a big plus of production pay is that you're actually paid more for working more. I spent years on a set wage where slugs slopping along through their shifts took home as much as those of us who were doing an excellent job because we couldn't stand to do anything else. And everyone's wages were relatively low, reflecting all that time so many spent spent chatting and goofing off. Now I'm paid a lot more equitably for the work I do. As are many of the complainers on this forum. (Those with genuine problems not related to laziness not included.)

Anyone ever have luck..,. sm

just sending out their resume with a letter to various doctors/clinics?  I have a lot of experience in, and enjoy doing, podiatry work but it doesn't seem to be something a lot of big MTSOs are looking for.  I can do the other work, but I am able to get much higher production doing Podiatry.

Anyone have luck going about it this way?

Anyone know any companies looking for someone with Podiatry experience?

THANKS!

Good luck. We each do what is best for us. nm

Good luck!
I used to be on MedRite with MQ-- loved it and it was SO easy-- then they switched to DocQScribe.  I haven't been able to make my line counts any more like I used to.  I work much longer and much harder and wish MedRite was back.  The other night, I had to a split job-- the lovely doctor batched three preop H & Ps.  I got the first two OK, then the last one never came to me.  I had to call the office, girl there said I "needed to call the techs"-- which I did.  I was on "ignore" for 35 minutes (I timed it) before a real person answered the phone-- only to be told that he couldn't do anything and I had to call the office.  Another call to the office-- the girl said she got a "system error" and still couldn't give it back to me.  Now if that would have been MedRite, I could have just gone back to the job myself and retrieved it and had it finished and over with.  But I guess that's PROGRESS.
Good luck

I have been in many hurricaines, living on the east coast, but nothing like Katrina.  Good luck to you.

You're welcome. Best of luck.
Take care
I just sent it. Good luck!

Good luck!
I wish you luck because having a baby and getting to stay at home with it is very rewarding.

In my opinion, having the experience of working at a hospital is definitely in your best interest. If I were you, you could go to the local job seeker's board here or go to MTjobs.com and apply.

You will do fine!

Best of luck to you and the baby!

Good luck!
We have a lot of drama in my family also, so I totally feel for you there. Ironically, the holidays seemed to be the only time everyone was nice to each other when we were younger. Now, we all live so far apart we are lucky to get together once a year. We are all so different!
