Rockin' have you been upgraded to ExEditor yet?

Posted By: LOVE IT! SM on 2009-03-26
In Reply to: That was me!!! Thank you so much - for letting me know I will try it SM

I just upgraded last week. Absolutely love it. All commands are the same whether it is a speech job or a non-speech job. They changed some of the commands to use the the control key instead of alt, but that took about 2 reports and I had adjusted. It really is a great program. There many things that I said in EXSpeech like "I wished the program did this....." Well now it does. It is fabulous and I am very pleased!!

Rockin' ExSpeech is doing it. If you notice...
It will only do it on Speech jobs not Transcription jobs. Just a little quirk.
20 years, 300 lines per hour, & still rockin' ;)

From someone who's still considered a top producer compared to the "'young'uns" at my company:  The best thing I've found is keeping your hand off of the danged mouse and using hot keys instead!  Most people are taught to use the mouse for everything with Word and most other WP programs and they have no idea that hot keys are available for just about every function. You're taking food off of your table (or gas out of your tank, or whatever gets your attention) every time you take your hands off of the keys.  Also, if you're using your calculator keypad to insert numbers (like lab values), please, please, PLEASE learn to utilize the numbers above the letters on your keyboard.  These seem like very simple, small steps, but they really do add up in the long run.

When I upgraded, sm.
When I upgraded, I had a tech do it. YOu have to uninstall this and that and then reinstall after upgrading. It appeared to me to be kinda touchy. So, it's possible these won't work afterwards. I'd check with a tech. Good luck!
I upgraded RAM from 256 to 1 gig this summer for only about
$50 at Best Buy.  Maybe $30.  And they installed it for me.  The $$ included the installation.  Just a FYI
I like ChartMatrix now that it's been upgraded. sm
Can use Shorthand, can access past reports, keeps a real-time line count. Very MT friendly.
Vista did this to me and I upgraded IE
I got the same message about the Internet Explorer encountering a problem. I was not able to do anything except close the window. After I lost some jobs on Bayscribe a few times I got annoyed and upgraded to IE 8. I haven't had any more problems yet, but I have only had IE 8 for a little over a week. If you have tried everything else mentioned to fix the problem and it has not worked you should just upgrade.
Before I upgraded, Stedman's worked-when you load the CD--sm
you are asked where you want it to load to, just choose Word 95.
Upgraded software in place. Sorry for the inconvenience of outage, but

this software offers more features and is up to date as compared to the previous software used.  Enjoy!

Administrator :)

Hurricane Rita just upgraded to Category 5 with winds of 165 mph
I hope everyone from TX stays safe. Learn from Katrina.
Does anyone like the new Healthgrade website after they upgraded - it only takes 4 or 5 steps to
nm
I use Abacus; however, it is an older version. Don't know if it has been upgraded. It is free.

Yes, I lost mine. I upgraded the Office 2000 package to Office 2003. sm
I have over 2000 autocorrect entries and lost them all as well as my supplemental dictionary for my Stedman's spellcheck. Lots of grief!

Maybe you will be lucky and not lose anything. Good luck to you.
