I consider myself seasoned, not because of my years of experience, but because of how many different types of work I have done. I think that being flexible, versatile, and maintaining a good attitude is what makes a seasoned transcriptinoist.

I was making a joke about this post that I copied from above!!!  Just a joke.  The poster says I consider myself seasoned, but in her last sentence she spelled Transcriptionist in a funky way!!!  I was just making a joke is all.  Please don't take offense.  These kinds of posts go to show that we are not all as perfect or "seasoned" as we may think!!!

  • By today's appallingly lax MT standards, I suppose a few - - months' experience IS *seasoned*!
  • I've been at it for nearly 15 years - Seasoned??
    • Been at it 33 years - most likely that's considered well beyond - *seasoned*, and more likely *over-the-hill*!
    • Most important I think is spelling - the word transcriptionist correctly.
      • I hate the term *transcriptionIST* - too long and feminine - so I prefer to use *transcriber*.
        • Transcriber is a piece of equipment. - Whatever tickles your fancy :) LOL
      • Please explain what's wrong with - the term 'seasoned' here.
