This may have not been the first time your husband's friend did something like this (met a woman in a bar or anywhere else for that matter). The wife may already know and chooses to turn a blind eye. And before anyone jumps on me, I know people who do just that. (And no it's not me). I know someone who's husband has been having an affair for years and years with the same woman, the wife knows and she basically doesn't care. He still lives at home, pays the bills, and she's very comfortable and doesn't want to change the situation. They've been married for over 40 years. We don't know what an individual person's situation is. I would, however, tell your husband to inform his friend that he doesn't want to get any more involved than he already is and to refrain from talking about the situation and tellng the woman to "lose" his cell number.
