I work for a national which is based in a state with a fairly low cost of living. Luckily I live in that same state, so I can survive on it. But dare I move to another state with a high cost of living, which is extremely possible, I certainly won't get a raise. Yet, I'll probably have to keep that same job since I'm vested in everything from retirement fund to schedule preference, etc. It WILL be taking a pay cut for doing the same job. It stinks, but.... I don't have an answer.

I hadn't heard the story about the purse, and now I wish I hadn't. Sadly, she's probably not the only one who did that. Officials made sure the cards couldn't be used for alcohol or cigarettes, but they forgot to include designer handbags.
