This doctor just took 40 minutes to talk 3 pages worth of dictation...even on chipmunk speed it took me 44 minutes to type it up.

soft talkers
Not meaning to be sexist, but the soft talkers are usually women, sometimes almost whispering like they are trying to be extra confidential or something. I can max out my volume but still strain to hear them.
slow talkers
I get a lot of slow talkers on the weekend because the docs like to sit at home with music on the background and leisurely do their week's dictation. I curse them the whole time. Then I get the fast talkers, and I curse them too! LOL
I will say though the slow talkers are usually the most polite and greet me at the beginning and say thanks at the end.

dictators who eat their meal while dictating (got to love someone chewing his bag of chips in your ear) or there's the one who talks on his cell phone while you are listening or my favorite (actually there is a tie here) the dictator who dictated his entire report while housekeeping was vacuuming (grrr) and the one who dictated his whole report while at a children's baseball game!!!! So many pet peeves about our wonderful dictators....
Sure you would. And you wouldnt be as irritable about the slow talkers.
