It's totally innocent. However, this boy (11) DOES obviously have a "thing" for my 5th grader and it's been going on for 2 yrs. He gave her a stuffed bear on Valentines day and at Christmas he gave her a necklace and a little bracelet (cheap stuff of course). They play on the playground together with other kids too, and that's the extent of their "dating." He did come to her birthday party and she went to his, but at this point there hasn't even been a phone call between them. It's just the very earliest beginnings of human sexuality, totally normal. BTW, she's my 3rd, so I've been through it all before.
