That is why I am no longer an IC. I had a bad, bad case of tennis elbow but I am employee status. I don't know if IC can get workers comp, but I would sure try if I were you. I could not operate the mouse at all with my right arm and had to switch to left-hand mouse operation even the first couple of months back to work and that was with just tennis elbow, not a fracture. Good luck.
