I have a TV right near my computer also which I never would turn on. However, when Katrina hit, I was glued to it, had it on mute but could read closed captioning on some stations. In many instances that wasn't even necessary as, in that case, the pictures told the story! Yes, it does help! And yes, in the evenings I have a little wine to go with it too!
