I stand corrected then.  However, I also checked online and saw both versions but if you saw it in the new Stedman's with the dropped s.  I'll take your word for it.  I didn't have a problem with the correction, just didn't get a response to my e-mail.  Maybe they are taught not to respond to comments about the corrections, not sure.
