YW. Boo's in my thoughts & prayers...

...and ((((HUGS)))) from Ambi, Max, Q-Tip, Baby, & Tequila (my "kids").

Keep us posted, k?

Please send your thoughts and prayers...

Yesterday around 11:00 a.m., in a town near me, a guy went to the hospital where his ex-wife was a nurse, called her outside to talk to her, and shot her 5 times.  She was flown to a bigger hospital nearby, but later died.  They found him last night trying to cross the Canadian border.

There are 2 small girls involved (5 & 9) who can use all the prayers we can offer right now.

You're already in our thoughts and prayers,
and I am also making a donation to the Red Cross. May God watch over you.
What a wonderful thought! My thoughts and prayers, as well!

Relief from this coal miner's daughter for all of those families and prayers for the one fallen.
Coal miners are a rare breed. Thank God these were saved.
How is your daughter doing now? My thoughts and best wishes go out to you and your family - sm
I have a 5yo daughter and I cannot imagine what you must be going through. Hope everything is better now.
Great Job! You will stay in my prayers!
You are a strong woman. Keep your eye on the ball and your Faith in your heart. Will keep you and your kids in my prayers. xo
Great news!!! (sm)
Have another question for you...just curious here...am I talking to Sandy Hames who used to work for YOG???  This is JoAnn (formerly Volgstadt)...aka Hummingbird from the Friendship Board.  If the vibe I'm getting is wrong, then disregard what I just said ;-)
Wow!!!!!!!! GREAT NEWS!!!!
I think you have just solved a HUGE problem!!!

I hope that everybody reads this, because this is BIG!!!

I'll post how this goes after I try it.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great news!
Where are some good places to apply? I am currently looking as well.
That is GREAT news! Good for you!

That IS a rainbow after a storm now!

I am truly happy for you and KUDOS to that hospital system for yanking those jobs out of the grips of the greedmonger MTSOs in India.

I would apply myself if I didn't have to drive to Michigan!!

I hope all goes well with you.  Congratulations.

Great news for Soft Script
There are a few of us going to the labor board in reference to Soft Script and their stealing of lines.  So far, we have a good case per the labor board.  Anyone and everyone that is interested in possibly getting their back wages, contact your local labor board and help us get what we have earned.
Super! Great news! Happy MT Day to you, too!

I have a rose...sm

I have a rose on my right shoulder, well the back of my shoulder.  I've had it for about six years now.  It's the only one I have.  I have considered getting another, but just haven't come across the right one yet.  If you are going to get one, make sure it is something that has some meaning for you as it will be there forever.  I would definately advise against putting anyones name on your body, even if it is your spouse.  The only name I would ever put on me would be my child's name.

As far as the pain goes, I won't lie to you...it does hurt.  Depending on where you get it on your body will depend on just how bad it will hurt though.  When I got mine, the pain was not all that intense.  It feels kind of like a bee sting...that continues and continues until they stop with the needle.  Getting the outline done is the worst part as the needles are a bit larger.  The part on mine that hurt the most was when he was near my shoulder blade and that is because when you are over bone it is going to hurt worse because there is not a lot of muscle there to cushion it.  The good news is, when they stop, the pain stops.  At least that's how it was in my case.

Another thing...to prevent your tattoo from fading as fast (and your tattoo artist should tell you this if he/she is good) if you are in the sun make sure you put sunblock on your tattoo.  It is good to put sublock on your body anyway, but make sure especially to put sunblock on your tattoo, as the sun is a sure way to drain the color out of your tattoo a lot faster.  I got mine done a little over six years ago and it still looks like new.  Also, if you do decide to get one, follow the aftercare instructions very carefully.  My tattoo artist had special ointment to put on the tattoo after it was finished, but I understand that A&D ointment (for diaper rash) works well also.  You have to keep it moist to prevent it from scabbing over.

Bottom line is, a tattoo is a life-long piece of artwork for your body.  You should pick something that is meaningful to you and put it in a place that you would like it to be.  Personally, I would never put one in a place that could not be covered up if need be...but that's just me.

Good luck!

Thanks, Rose........... sm
I have tried this numerous times and have been on the phone with my ISP tech support gang multiple times, only to be told that the problem must lie with my computer. It would seem that something is keeping my wireless computer from receiving a signal from the router, but I don't know what it is. The wireless receiver is only about 6 months old.
Hi Rose
The only other info I want to know is, are you hiring? Just kidding (sort of :)). Good for you, though. You go, girl!
Rose, - see message
I believe Sten-Tel has quite a few of the hospital accounts in Long Island. In fact, a few years ago I worked for a hospital in Nassau County while I lived in Manhattan, and they unfortunately outsourced to Sten-Tel.

However, there is a hospital in Manahawkin, NJ called Southern Ocean County Hospital, and they are looking for a radiology transcriptionist. It might be worth a shot to see if they would be interested in have a telecommuting position to you!! It would be worth a shot.

Rose, get this again.. unbelievable but
I was told by the company I work for that I was not supposed to refer to them, they do their own choosing. Well, ok, I only tried to get in contact regarding this 1 time and needless to say, would you try again? I think not. I do love VR and work part-time now and make enough in those days to pay my bills, etc. Good luck with whatever you do!
just checked i-mail. no news. how did you get your news?
love,

frank
News flash..Don't know where you get your news, but the economy is doing very well.
s
My theory is no news is good news. (sm)
If there is really a problem with your transcription, then I would not worry about it. They will get to you if you screw up.

As far as policies and procedures, look in your manual. I am sure they gave you info for all of that stuff. JMO.
see Rose's message above; appears to be more to this.

Any good ideas for rose bushes? sm

I'm thinking of planting rose bushes along our new fence and just can't decide from all the varieties.  I do want some that bloom all summer long and are winter hardy. Illinois can be brutal sometimes.

Well, of course there are other companies doing the same. Take off the rose colored glasses and
:P
Wishing you a peachy one right back at ya, Rose! :) nm

Rose, I had asked pretty much the same question...
a while back. Here's what I gathered: QA is generally paid by the hour (at my company it's about 15 to 18/hr). Apparently it IS easier on the hands/fingers/wrists. That is why I was considering it--starting to get tingling/pain in my hands at times. Unfortunately for me, I make a bit more than 18/hr so I would have to actually take a pay cut. Don't know it that would be the case for you or not.

I only have about 10 years' experience. With your 25 years maybe you could find a better hourly somewhere.

Good luck in whatever you do.
Weird, isn't it? I had two Rose of Sharon bushes, one I bought for my mother
and planted it in her yard. The other I bought for myself and planted it in my yard. My mother passed away in 1993 and my bush died a month later. My father passed away in 1996 and that bush in their yard died a month later. Both passed on in August, 3 years and 5 days from one another. Makes you wonder.
Totally agree. Don Juan climbing rose is nice, too. sm
I love my antique rose, but wish the flowers lasted longer.
My dear friends husband has died. He was truly Australia's Rose.

I have good news and bad news 4U...
The good news is on Saturday, July 1 many of your least favorite residents will be "graduating." The bad news is that on the same day you'll be getting a virtual box of candy with brand new residents who have no clue how to dictate! RU excited?? ARGHHHH!!!!
Thank you for your prayers.

We've never even actually met him in person, but he is my husbands best friend's only sibling and my husband's friend was going through such a horrible time waiting and wondering that he couldn't even go to work. We only wish everybody could have good news.

Thanks again.

Thanks, I need all the prayers I can
get! LOL.
asking for prayers

I just learned that my boss's daugher-in-law and grand-daughter were involved in a horrendous car accident. The DIL suffered many fractured bones, on top of a pre-existing MS condition. However, the grand-daughter may die, and even if she survives she will likely have severe brain damage.

Can those of who you believe in a high power keep this family in your thoughts and prayers?

PRAYERS

Just e-mailed your request to my church who has a prayer group that meets everyday and prays for the requests that are sent in.  Have also sent a few of my own on the way.  Hope all works out.

Patti

I will keep them in my prayers
nm
definitely in my prayers
Praying that all things go well; though we have no control but faith and prayers go a long way.
Prayers

Please let them know that my prayers are with them, knowing already that God's healing work is with them already.  Thanks for letting us know.

Blessings

You are in my prayers

You are in my prayers and hopefully someday the resentment and bitterness will be gone from your heart.  Good luck in your life.

Prayers going your way..........
and/or in my case, I'll be sending good vibes. (Old hippie here.)

Good luck, hon. Please let us know what happens. And....please know ya got somebody listening, okay? Let me know if ya need someone to talk to, or just listen. I'll be online all night. This cannot be easy, I know.
Prayers will be said tonight!

My prayers are with those who are dealing
with Hurricane Wilma.  I'm catching bits and pieces on TV and, living in the midwest, I can't imagine the fear that must go through those who stay to ride it out. I would be terrified.  God bless all of you.
You're in my prayers. You should know this is the most
dangerous time. Please get all the help of people around that you can!  God Bless and God Speed!
Prayers are also needed
Hello: I will say a prayer for this precious little one. He is too young to suffer this way. I also need many prayers for a dear friend with Stage III ovarian cancer, who is undergoing chemotherapy and having a rough time, but has a loving family and is coming home today. It is not hopeless but need prayers.

I also need some prayers for my mother-in-law who is in the hospital with lymphoma and a severe blood infection. If anyone has some extra prayers please send them there way as they are lovely ladies and need a second chance. Thank you. Hope all of our prayers are answered.
Will definitely keep you in my prayers PAMT! nm

Sorry to hear about the DX, will keep you in my prayers. nm
