I was in school for 6 grueling years.  While I loved it, frustrations and all, I finally decided to quit.  I was almost at the speed level needed to take the certification exam; however, you can be that level for another couple of years or even longer.  It is very, very difficult.  Only about 5 out of every 100 students will go on to become CRs, and most quit school within 2 years.  All the English classes did help with MT, I must say.
