I suppose one thing to be thankful for is that technology is only as good as the human that invented it.. and the day I come across a "perfect" human I will call SETI and ask them to find out where Planet Perfecta is so we can send them BACK, since we know there is no such thing as a perfect human.
I have started using VR to "redictate" what the doc dictates, using a headset with microphone attached, and just repeating what the dictator says. I have found I can type about as fast as I can talk after 36 years, so my speed isn't increased much, but I have elminated some of my fingerslips.
Having created my own profile using the Dragon's Medical Version and getting pretty good accuracy, we are working toward training those MTs who can talk faster than they can type to do the same, especially with those docs that do not speak clearly enough for VR accuracy and have all the hems and haws and other unmentionable eruptions that VR isn't ever going to know what to do with.
We just keep on rowing... and growing.
