Unfortunately

It is legal if you are logged onto their system through a VPN.  Some hospitals are so paranoid that their PHI is going to leak out onto the internet.  You can either have a laptop beside you to use that is not logged onto the VPN or ask for a different account.  I just choose not to work on those type of clients.
