Vacuums

I like Hoovers and they recently got good reviews from Consumer Reports.

I'll tell you, though, that I'm very sorry I bought a bagless with a HEPA filter. It's a real pain. One of the stupidest ideas of this era.

The filter clogs quickly--much faster than a bag--and you have to take the vacuum somewhere (in my condo, the kitchen--they'd shoot me if I did it outside), take off the canister, shove the whole thing into a bag, then drag out the filter and literally scrape off the mess. While doing that, all the dust and fluff the filter caught comes loose, poofs up all over, and flies around.

It's all up your arms, your neck, down your shirt, in your hair and up your nose, and all down your clothes. It's horrible.

You end up with more in the air than you ever did before. I have to take a big load of Benadryl now just to vacuum and I'm looking to get a good old BAG model the next time I see a good price on one.

Some lady in the store was buying a bag-style. She told me not to buy the bagless, but I didn't listen.

Before you buy one, make sure you try a friend's first. And clean it out.

Ugh. Disgusting. The top-fill bags were better any day!

vacuuming - either the vacuums are too heavy or they don't pick up anything....nm

I love my Oreck, but vacuums are definitely kind of like potato salad. :)
Real specific to the particular person.  Have a great day!
I bought one of those $60 bagless Dirt Devil Breeze vacuums at
K-Mart, and I hate it.  It's loud, difficult to push around, messy to empty, and causes shoulder pain.  It was kind of a vacuuming emergency because we had just had new carpeting put in and my Electrolux wasn't working.  It cost $29 to fix the 15-year-old Electrolux, so the Dirt Devil is just collecting dust.  I love my Electrolux, but I got it for free.  I won't pay an arm and a leg for a vacuum.
I love my Electrolux, I am hard on Vacuums and I found Electrolux to be great, it sucks up everythin
