We always owe lately.

We started doing fine, getting a tax credit for about 2 years until the year hubby was in the hospital. Then we couldn't make those nasty quarterly payments. This is year 2 since his hospitalization and we finally paid off last years taxes plus interest and penalties.

This year will be tougher I think, but he thinks we may just break even with all the expenses he has (he thought that last year too). It was a rush because our tax man died last year (just our luck)and had to find one in a rush and of course, was not as familiar with us. BUT, our mortgage(s) are paid off and there is no depreciation on his truck, so that's 3 things that will get us in trouble.

Hopefully we will be able to start paying quarterly again.
