Well

a small MTSO is offering someone with little experience 5 cpl.  Even without that information, my opinion would be to offer your trainee 4 cpl and you get 4 cpl.  There are services that pay 4 to 4.5 per line for VR editors.  And you will be doing more than that, as you will also be teaching.  Maybe even 3 cpl for the trainee and you 5 cpl. 

I think 6 cpl for a trainee is extremely generous.  There are experienced MTs working for 7 cpl.

I also want to commend you on your contribution to the profession by taking the time to train.  Your trainee is very fortunate indeed.  My hat is off to you.
