When my oldest child was younger, I hired a 10-year-old from the neighborhood to come and help me. It worked great!!! She loved doing it and it didn't cost me too much. Since I was home, there was no problem with her being alone. I have 4 children now. My schedule is flexible so I try to get up really early and get things done. Good Luck!
