Serving Over 20,000 US Medical Transcriptionists

What does it take to become a MT?

I did work as a MT six years ago, back in Canada, before I moved here to the US.  Because of this, I find I am having a hard time getting back into this area.  No one will hire me, due to the fact that I haven't worked, or worked as a MT in six years.  I worked in a Rehab Clinic for six months, transcribing.  I worked in a psychiatric hospital for one year transcribing.  I worked in a Addiction Clinic for four months transcribing.  I worked in a Radiology Clinic for 4 months transcribing.  So, I think I have enough Medical Transcribing experience to allow me to get back into this area.

Can anyone recommend a quick refresher course for Medical Terminology that I could take, to refresh my skills?

Thanks
