What would YOU do?

Just thought I would ask for opinions on what do you guys think about this and what would you do about it?

I started work as QA for a company about three months ago. When I was hired, I was told I was being hired for a specific account. This account, however, was not ready to go live and in the meantime, I would be working a different account. Two other QA were hired along with me to work on the account. One of the two did not work out, and the other got very sick, which left me doing the account on my own. I was working 18-22 hours per day, 13 days without a day off twice with only 3-4 days off in between. In addition to QAing this account, I also had to complete an audit on each and every job of the lower level QAs and MTs work. I never once complained about those mad crazy hours and I was told to please be patient, as the account I was hired for would be opening “soon.” There were never any quality issues while I was carrying that account by myself, despite the fact that I was seriously burned out. I was tempted many times to quit, but I stayed because the benefits were excellent and the promise of the account I was hired for. That account ended and I was put on another account, again because the primary was not ready to go live, having been pushed back yet again. This account was a nightmare from the word go. I voiced my concerns repeatedly to management on several levels. I told them that if they did not resolve the problems, we would lose that account. The QA already present on that account greatly resented my being there and she did everything in her ability to make it difficult, including being in my jobs. I voiced those concerns as well and I was met with agreement on that point. They recognized the problems, but did nothing to fix it. I remember writing 6 e-mails in one weekend regarding the quality of work I was seeing, the TAT, etc., again, trying to find resolution. I did not have the “power” to make decisions to fix it, only to call attention to it to those who did. They then released the lower level QA to direct send, something that I had told management they were not ready for, based on my audits. I only saw 3% of their work; the rest was submitted to the client, but what I did see was not good. In the middle of all this nightmare, I was again told they were aware it was a difficult situation and to please “hang in there” as they had a definite go live date on the account I was hired for and it was coming in 2-3 weeks.

Needless to say and not to my surprise, the client pulled the account for quality issues. I was told there was no more QA work for me (keep in mind the account I was hired for is now going live in 2-3 weeks and they are actively staffing it. My name is not on that list to staff it, even though I was hired for it. I do not think it is fair that I am being “punished” for 3% of work that was being axed by the client for quality issues. There were NEVER any complaints on the work that I personally checked and audited, just the others and the work I never saw. I am livid, shocked, and disappointed. After everything I have done for this company, the long hours, the going above and beyond, and trying to tell them this account was in trouble and not being listened to. Rather than being given what I was promised, “do the crap work and then we’ll give you the account you were hired for” more or less, I am being told there is no QA work, which I know for a fact is a lie. The person who was on this account who resented me so much, in trying to mess me up, has lost herself her job and mine too, and in fact, this whole account. I do not feel I’m asking for anything I don’t deserve or was not PROMISED.
So that’s it, and so this is so long. What would YOU do? Is there ANY company out there who values ethics and dependability and quality work anymore??? This has just about done me in.
