when you heard John Lennon was shot 25 years ago today? I was in college in my off-campus apartment when I woke up to my radio with nothing but Beatle songs playing - then the DJ saying John Lennon had been killed - I remember thinking what an awful joke, even for a morning talk DJ. But when I turned on the TV I realized it was, amazingly and senselessly, true. I walked around that day in such a haze of disbelief and sadness - my idol gone. Just like that. It STILL amazes me. RIP, John.
