Drew Lachey is Nick Lachey's little brother.

Nick Lachey is the adorable ex-husband (YAY) of Jessica Simpson.  Drew sang with 98 Degrees group with his brother.

I would love to see Nick compete in Dancing With the Stars.  He was in the audience cheering his brother on.  Class act, both brothers.

Drew Lachey is my future brother in law, that is, after Nick and I marry!
Is he drop-dead gorgeous or what? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
At gas station 12 yrs ago pumping gas - me in my daisy dukes & sports car; he in his sports car!

brother of Nick Lachey....nm

He drew my blood for my marriage license - engaged to someone else
True story. My husband was the one who was drawing my blood for my marriage license. I was engaged to someone else, and back then you have to have your blood drawn before you got married. When I sat down, he said to me "are you sure you want to get married before you and I have a chance to get to know each other?" I cracked up and realized he was right - I needed to get to know him before I got married to somebody else. We have been married 24 years - 4 children and 2 grandchildren.
DW Stars. Drew was great! watch tonite for scores. nm

School sports
I think it's a sign of maturity that he is ready to concentrate on something else. Be glad he is ending it before he gets hurt. My DH has had to have rotator cuff surgery, cervical spine surgery, and knee surgery, all due to high school and college sports.

I saw a news story this morning about a previously healthy boy in grade school who died after his football practice.

You are very fortunate.
According to Fox Sports today . . .
"Hey, we simply didn't play well enough to win," Hasselbeck said. "We can't blame this loss on the calls out there."

Obviously Hasselbeck has more grace and class than the sore losers on this board.

I went to a sports med doctor and got
a steroid injection - I could not even lift and hold a cup of coffee to my mouth - that's how bad it was bilateral elbows. First shot provided complete relief for about 3 months, and then it returned.  Had second shot, and it has been gone now for years!! Way worth it! Don't waste your time with braces and the like. Just fix it! It sure hurts!
Great sports too
Must add, if you are a sports fan, the Denver professional sports teams are always exciting. One of them (football, hockey, basketball, baseball) is usually on track to have a championship year. Denver itself is also a pretty neat city. Can't emphasize enough the beauty of the state and the outdoor opportunities all times of the year. Skiing is admittedly a rather pricey sport, but there are bargains out there if you look hard enough. Also, I notice when I go back home to the Midwest to visit family how healthy Colorado people seem by comparison. I have heard Colorado people are among the healthiest--because there is no excuse not to get out and be active when you live in such a beautiful state. We raised our kids here and, as Debbb says, it is a great place to do that.
Not Singer
Singer stopped making decent machines a decade or so ago. Look into Brother or Pfaff. I agree with talking  to the teacher. One thing you will want will be a one-step button hole if at all possible. To tell you the truth, 99.9% of your sewing will be straight and zig-zag of various lengths and widths. You probably won't ever use most of the decorative stitches. Variation in pressor feet will be more important than variation in stitch type. Go to a store where you can sit down and try machines out. Try lots of things. Does changing the bobbin, needles, feet, etc., seem intuitive, or are they hard to deal with? Are the pressor feet nice and steady, can't stand the jiggly ones, it's hard to keep an nice straight line for top stitching with those types. One thing I found on my current machine that drives me nuts (sometimes you just don't know until you take it home and live with it) is the needle always stops on the up position. I'd rather I got to pick. Making tight turns, etc., I like to have the needle hold the fabric while I rotate it, so I'd rather the needle stopped down or up, where ever I commanded it to stop. Sigh..  Anyway, try them out. You will probably end up paying $400 for a decent machine, but you will have it for the next decade or two, maybe more.
Well it really should be the best singer....after all...
Of course he got booted and America got it wrong again! But that is nothing new...look at Carrie, Ruben and Fantasia, not one of them was "the best" singer/performer. America hasn't gotten it right since Kelly Clarkson.
High School Sports
I too went through that with my son and his playing baseball.  He was a junior in high school, was offered a full-ride scholarship to college as a pitcher, and just up and quit the sport.  There were so many politics in high school sports, who knows who,  whose kid gets to play because they know the coach, that kind of BS.  I think the kids really feel it and just get tired of it.  My son totally walked away from it, leaving me devastated, but that was his decision.  I cried for him.  Good luck to you!!
To the singer's Mom (from post below)
Let us know which 3 songs your daughter chooses! And wish her luck for me! Keep us posted on how she does in the contest!!!
Dude! YW :)

Dude.....(sm)

a lot of us MTs have major malfunctions (LOVE your terminology, BTW), with a LOT of things.  Don't take offense.  I would be willing to bet no offense was meant by the poster.  Some of us like initials after our names....some of us think it is worthless....to each his own.

Peace, man.

whatever dude

HC, you can believe or not believe whatever you want to.  I fail to see what the point would be of lying about something like that.  It certainly is not laughing matter to those affected, to be sure.

And hey, it may be that YOU are so valued as an MT, heck, probably even the BEST MT EVER, that they surely would NEVER cut YOUR pay without advanced notice, so if I were you, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Really.

Ruben Stoddard is a far better singer....nm

Dude or chick?

Yo-Man, Dude, What's happening?
I agree, Simon is more realistic. Chris did do great last night even though I am not into rock. It was tolerable though! He at least got into it and...was good. Paula LOVES those rockers. She loved Bo Bice also. I think a few girls are the best. Can't wait til tonight and then next Tuesday. It is my favorite show.
Dude (as Hurley would say)....
nm
dude, I'm agreeing with you

I found nothing wrong with your original post.  I almost posted a response myself saying that you need to talk to your QA people because every company uses their own method of putting blanks in, but someone else had already said it.

I just think Ella was responding to the wrong message, but I'm certainly not here to defend another poster.

Parents and children? How 'bout fishing, sports, his job, etc. nm
v
My kids hated organized sports and groups. They

are both social, happy kids, but enjoy spending their spare time with Lego's, pets and especially reading. My 5th grader reads at an 11th grade reading level and my freshman reads well beyond college level. Both enjoy school very much and are on the Challenge tracks, A's and B's. But I think they have learned how to entertain themselves and enjoy a slower pace because we don't have a T.V. Definitely gears down the speed of life.

I use a Singer, was about $200 years ago- lots of different stitches -sm
But Singer makes a good sewing machine and has many models, check them out. I am about to drag mine out to make curtains....redoings kids rooms, the curtains they wanted w/ valance would have been around $140...I bought the material for $30 for both kids (curtains and valance), already have a pattern (plus I know how to make them too). So now to find the TIME as I work just about every day, yuk, but for saving $110 I guess I will soon.
Willie Nelson, singer, songwriter...been using...sm

Willie Nelson has been using corn as fuel for all his trucks, cars, and all vehicles on his ranches.

For all of you who may not know who Willie Nelson is, besides being a singer, songwriter, musician of country rock,  he also runs FARM-AID concerts to aid the farmers of america.  *S*

Been likin' Willie since 1972 when I lived in Tucson, Arizona and saw him live all over town for free.....*S*

Yes! Rob Thomas, another great Canadian singer - sm
- REALLY a man, unlike KD Lang LOL
Speaking of dude or chick, does anyone ever
play that car game where you have to guess what gender someone is because you just can't tell?  That's what we play on road trips instead of the license plate game.  Quick, dude or chick?
Dude, what's your major malfunction? sm

Since I've been working for the last 1-1/2 years with a company and more recently with my own accounts, I daresay that I am doing just fine with or without the RMT.  I wanted to take the RMT for my own fun.  I am sure there are others that either want to take the test or that are waiting to hear their results after waiting several months.

Major bummer dude!

This is my 2nd Saitek...the first one had silver keys and oh ya, I got the paint on them babies worn off within 6 months.  I'm totally bummed to hear this one will do the same thing, because I really looked at it hard before buying and saw the letters were "etched" in and not painted on.  It's no biggie for me, being a touch typist, but when family or friends want to plink around, they got totally lost...plus it looked fargin' ugly too.

I use the angry red lights when typing that ESL crap (red alert!), and the happy purple the rest of the time.  The old one was just blue, so I'm kinda sick of that for right now, but it is so much fun to mess with the mood lighting.  Simple pleasures for simple minds

I call what Eric has little dude blues!
xx
the dude has no integrity; i wouldn't watch his dog
far less his movie. I'll get my bits and pieces of accuracy somewhere else!
Sports - 1 sport a season. Fall = football for son and volleyball for daughter. sm
Their class load and homework is enough; however, the love sports and are great at too. So, I allow one sport per season, meaning Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. Fall = football and volleyball.

Winter = swimming and winter volleyball.

Spring = Lacrosse for both.

Summer = whatever they choose.

They choose what they want and if they choose not to do a sport any particular season, that is fine with me. They do not go out on school nights and their weekend activity is limited due to their sports. It works, and they stay out of trouble and both are on the honor roll.

Too many activities is just too stressful both all. My kids will tell me when they feel burnt and need a day off and I am fine with that. I tell them to stay home that day from practice.

It works for us.
Yes, Live, his fave group - and the lead singer is his *idol*.

dude, i'm not being literal. toby keith looks like he is CAPABLE
of taking care of me.  Jude Law on the other hand looks like he would be hard pressed to take care of himself.  It is the presentation not if the guy really would step off the screen to take care of me.  For example, it doesn't look as if Toby Keith has product in his hair or wears designer clothes.  He is tall and has a great deep commanding voice.  It's not about literal.  It's all about PHYSICAL APPEARANCE and how a man carries himself.
definite dearth of good TV on Sunday. Hafta watch weather, sports

OT: Girl singer on the July 4th shows - did anyone catch this show on the Fourth?

I'm trying to find the name of one of the performers on the evening of the Fourth who sang God Bless the Child (I think it was on the show where the President attended).  Does anyone know who that singer was?  I missed the first half of her song and they did not announce her name again at the end.  I thought it might have been Brandy but I haven't kept up with celebs lately.

Thanks in advance.

Sweety, this is abuse. Get thee to a counselor, the dude is sucking you dry.
The twit I just divorced got to the point that if HIS annoying me didn't work, he'd pick a fight, put the kid in the middle and then laugh as I tried to save the kid from that kind of abuse.

Ditch the B---d. And get into counseling.
She's tiny, cute, rich, famous, drug free, and a great singer.
Oh, what a horrible person!  (sarcasm)
Let your teachers make recommendations, but a basic Singer or Sears machine is fine. nm
s
Young female pop singer, popular a few years ago singing about a sk8terboy and a ballet girl
s
dude, your educational level means nothing when you post irrelevant drivel and you don't follow
a logical train of thought. "ROCK ON"???? OMG!

BTW, YOU CALLED THE NAMES DEAR POSTER. READ YOUR OWN POST AND THEN READ MINE. See that's what I'm talking about. The masses aren't all that bright and knowing that does not "empower" me. And with you bragging about a "degree" and "education" is even more depressing. imagine an educated person bragging about it after screwing up on two posts and not understanding the concept of the original post STILL! Scary stuff.
Saw him on CMT show with John Fogarty. Great, great singer with a neat personality and drop dead
gorgeous without seeming to know it.
Everything EXTREME, extreme sports, etc.
