My best friend from HS has told me several times that she can't understand why I work at home. She tells me "you're a people person," and like you I've been told that I'd be much happier around people. I'm not sure why she thinks I'm a "people person." I've always been shy, treasure solitude, have spent much happy time alone, and get stressed out, even hyperventilate, in crowds. I'd make a good hermit, really. The occasional trip to grocery store, library and church are enough "stimulation." I do enjoy traveling at times, but I can't afford to do that either right now. I think people just try to put themselves in your situation when they themselves couldn't handle the solitude.
