In Reply to: I have done both, psych and acute care - Lynn

years ago; approximately 15 years ago.  The tests I took were acute care.  The owner of the company said that as far as the terminology and my hearing etc, I was right on.  However, the errors were in AAMT style.  She does not think it would take much for me to learn this end of things, as she said I did well on everything else.  I just found on-line that AAMT has workbooks; so, I am going to purchase some and work on them.  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When I transcribed acute care years ago I was quite good at it.  I worked for a service who transcribed for Michael Reese, and the University of Chicago.  I transcribed many fields at that time; however, with transcribing just psych for so long, I think I may have hurt myself in the long run.  Now, I have to almost start over again it seems.
