Yet another IC tax?

I know there all kinds of posts I've read about this, but I have a question on this. I know about filing the estimated taxes since I've done it in the past for statutory and other reasons. My question is, when you are IC do you have to divide the payments up somehow when you make your estimated payments into income tax portion and self-employment tax portion or do you just send in one check to cover all? I can't seem to find the exact info on this, so I assume it would be okay to just do it in one lump payment each time. I'm thinking about going IC and just wanted to get this all straight in my head first. Was going to call IRS for help, but thought I would see if any of you ICs here could give me some guidance first!
