It is not what it used to be. About 17 years ago, all the MTs I knew seemed happy.  They were treated exactly like what they were--women (mostly) working from home, with all the distractions that includes, without very decent benefits, but decent enough pay and the opportunity to be home.

Most of that has not changed, but the pay has and the demands have.  How in the world can pay in such an important job field DROP???  I just don't get it!!  Also, what happened to some work being so bad that it was "unacceptable for my MTs." ???  The pay has dropped and the work has gotten harder!

Perhaps I am just burned out.  I would not totally discourage anyone from going into this.  I would just be very discerning about what I accept as reasonable working conditions.
