any in S FL? What do I get out of it?

Posted By: Mave on 2007-09-24
In Reply to: Question - doubtful.

This is long - hope you have a some minutes to read it!

Any hospitals in S FL? I just moved to SW FL and will be approaching several hospitals here within the next couple of months. According to local doctors I've spoken with about this, the hospitals are very unhappy with the services and would be delighted to have a new model offered to them. Isn't this the same story we've heard for some time now? They outsourced because of cheap prices and they've been unhappy with what they have received back - exactly what they paid for. However, they have also learned that the low cost of outsourcing is a lot more expensive, dollar for dollar, than doing it themselves.

This is the project: We have finally created a model that gives the hospitals physicians who are happy with the quality of work they receive, gives them better control over turnaround time, is cost effective, and creates better pay for the MTs by cutting out the overhead of a service. Other hospitals have begged us to do their transcription; we felt it was a better idea to teach them how to do it themselves.

What do I get out of it? Many things! I get the thrill of creating a transcription service that is one *I* would want to work for - and get paid to do it. I get to market the only software I know of that makes this venture possible - and get paid to do it. I get to see experienced MTs in love with the place they work, getting back their professional pride in their work (how happy are you with verbatim transcription?), and I get paid to put it all together! Who wouldn't be excited about doing this? I've been an MT for over 20 years, have been a transcription dept manager, and have in-depth experience with the software - a perfect combination of skills.

With every hospital who opts for this model, there will be an immediate need for a minimum of 25-30 quality MTs (depending on size of hospital) to start doing the work. I'll be posting again and again to acquire quality MTs, but you're also welcome to contact me and help me build the MT resources to make this happen - because the minute I start selling this, it's all going to happen quickly. It's happened to me time and again - things tend to move quickly when I'm involved. So....you can sit back and watch, wishing you were part of it - or you can BE a part of it! I anticipate having several hospitals ready to sign up and get started within a few months and perhaps sooner. Will you be ready by then?

We need to stop crying about how the services have treated us, turning a profession into a day job, lowering our pay and taking advantage of us. We need to start taking our profession back into our own hands! That's been my goal for a long time now and it's what I'm offering to you. I hope you'll consider it.
