I tried it, but it was much harder than they make it sound on the ads........ If in the market I'll sell you my system for $25 + S&H....... (paid over $100) if you don't mind the food prep I guess it is not too bad, but I was looking for something where I didn't have to follow a lot of recipes

I worked on this briefly and did not ...sm
like it. My Expander did not work with it and neither did my spellchecker. So I started copying and pasting reports from Word into Chartscript so I could use my expander and spellcheck. Well the client sent word that we are not to do that because it causes problems on their end somehow. I said to heck with this account. No longer work on it.
I looked into this briefly a few years ago.....

Unfortunately no cosmetology colleges in my area in the Midwest are offering training.  Not sure where to begin, but I just bet there is a niche in my neck of the woods that needs to be filled.

I worked there briefly, and also heard rumors sm

of people not being paid.  Not sure what benefits you are talking about, as they hire ICs only, or at least that was the practice in the past.

I left because of the unfair way they count lines.  They use Bayscribe, but do not count spaces.  They add in 15%, but it still ends up being a lot lower.  The accounts are easy -- clinic work, no ESLs -- but still I only did 150 lines per hour there, compared to 300-350 plus at MDI-MD.  Also, the QA person I dealt with was rather snippy and rude.  that coupled with the substantially lower pay rate (8-1/2 cpl, I think) -- why stay?  Fortunately, I did get paid, although when I left I did send Deb an email telling her about the rumors I had heard and that I did expect to be paid.

Good luck, whatever you decide.

I briefly viewed their website and what a joke.

They are so full of *rap.   I would stay away from them.   If you are considering a career change I'd look somewhere else besides MT.

I briefly talked to my uncle, who is psychiatrist, about Tater. His recommendation was to take her
to a pediatric psychiatrist for a thorough evaluation and then the appropriate referrals and/or medications can be started. There has to be an indepth evaluation why Tater is the way she is. It could be that her mother was never abusive towards her, but it could be that Tater may be showing the early signs of schizophrenic disorder and what we perceive as lies to us are realities to her. At any rate, shipping the child off may not be the best answer, but to get her the adequate help. I feel for your friend, because it is not easy to deal with a "problem child" but now Tater's Daddy and your friend are legally responsible and accountable for the child.
