Deb Soule has written quite a few books, the farm is unbelievable, and the shampoo for dogs was the best I had ever used on my beloved beagle. Hate to keep boasting like this, but my beagle actually liked being bathed in this shampoo as opposed to the other stuff we had given her.

So when are you coming over to shampoo my rugs?

They get soooooooo dirty, sooooooooo fast.  I'm talking light pink here.  We do have an Electrolux carpet shampooer and we honestly use it at least once a month for full carpet cleaning and even more for spot cleaning.  Otherwise I'd have a pink rug with brown stripes.  :)
   Another shampoo/conditioner idea
Go to Sally Beauty Supply. They occasionally have their shampoo on sale - one-gallon jugs of concentrate for $5. Variety of fragrances and formulas with matching conditioner. This stuff has lasted me over a year and is still going strong.
I'd just use a regular /baby shampoo until you can
flea shampoo for puppies, then get some Frontline or Advantage....just check what the age is for it, pretty sure you can use those puppies. Keep her away from the other dogs obviously, especially if she has worms as just about all puppies do.
Not people-baby shampoo. pH is too low.
My vet says regular people shampoo isn't so bad, but people baby shampoo has a much lower pH that is totally wrong for dogs. Now puppy shampoo is great. It has the same anesthetic for the eyes that baby shampoo has, but with the correct, higher pH. He also assured me that it is okay to use people dandruff shampoo on cats or dogs now and then, especially if the animal has oily-type dandruff.

Don't lay down to read to them at night, do everyone's sheets, and your shampoo your heads, to
 ,
the extra bottle for the shampoo is an excellent idea
I could prob do that for just about every soap I use.
You could bathe with a gentle shampoo or even dish detergent, rinse well and if you have vinegar do

a vinegar rinse and then do a final rinse.   This might drown the fleas or at least stun them.  If dog is light colored you might be able to see them and pick them off when dog is wet.   If you have a dog brush, brush it outside and you might get some off that way.  If you have tea tree oil you can put some around its neck area or on a collar if you have one.   This is a fairly strong smell though and we've always had to wash it off the same day, though lots of people swear by this.   I can't think of anything else you can do with stuff you already have around the house.
We adopted 3 kittens from the shelter and have never had a flea problem, but now we can't seem to get rid of them and my dog is on 3 different treatments and I still find an occasional flea.  She has developed a sensitivity to bites too and scratches all the time and can't take prednisone because she has Cushings.
Growing up we had a tri-colored Pembroke corgi.  He was the sweetest thing and I still miss him terribly, 30 years later.

And give some feedback on how using Dvorak works for you!  I'm probably too old a dog to learn such new tricks, but dang, it sure does make more sense overall than this set-up that was originally based on trying to SLOW TYPISTS DOWN so they wouldn't cross the "arms" on the old-style typewriters (and I've even BTDT!).

Transcription gear didn't have one.  These dictaphone boxes make it difficult to hear.  I ordered the adapter that changes it to a one prong plug, then got the mono to stereo converter from Radio Shack and plugged in my Wal-Mart regular headphones. Much better!
