I don't see how it could be to their benefit, as so many of us working for MQ are SE.  I was under the impression that those who are employee status are more costly for a company because of taxes and benefits.  It will have to be extremely good for me to switch to employee (that is if it is a choice).  Most of us and especially those with kids still at home need flexible schedules.  On another note, my husband's work is lately getting really pushy about whether the spouse's job has insurance benefits and whether it is cheaper.  If it is cheaper, then my insurance benefits (if I went with employee status) would be our only insurance carrier for the family.   I really haven't heard anything very positive about insurance and other benefits thru MQ.   Anyone care to fill me in?

Sometimes drinking more water helps, too.
