No, but it is hard not to fall in love with a house. sm
Glad you will be able to back out of this, though.  There will be another house for you, without the previous damage.  good luck.

Tell your employer that the money you give to AAMT/ADHI for the 'privilege' of taking their test is funding the progressive offshoring of the American MT profession. If you've been an MT for nearly 30 years, you don't need a CMT after your name. You were a professional MT long before that bunch of con artists dreamed up that scheme to make themselves rich by making MTs think they were on their side. Now we all know better. Don't fund their offshoring scam!
Guess you'll have to come to my house for pizza!

Just finished canning 30 pints of pizza sauce from my homegrown tomatoes, peppers, basil, garlic, oregano and husband grows the onions.  Husband and his brothers own a large crop farm so can and freeze lots of veggies.  Also made salsa last week.  Almost always make my own pizza anymore because of the artificial color problem.  Haven't quite perfected it though (that pizzeria taste) but have got the crust almost "right".  Would be happy to share my recipe for dough.  Also sincere the in the shoulder if you need one- would be willing to share email address to correspond.

Ezcema is such a bummer!!  I have several nephews (husbands side of the family) with it.  Was worse for them when they were younger and has definitely gotten better now that they are older teens now.  Food allergies did seem to be a culprit for them.  Can you believe that when my daughter was totally covered all summer with hives that I went to my mother in law and asked her if anyone in the family had any allergies that she knew of because I was totally at a loss, immediately she said no without a thought.  (Couldn't be anyone in "her family").  Then after I almost killed my daughter with Amoxicillian (strep throat), Gatorade, cough syrup (cold/cough), Benadryl (hives) and Advil (fever) (all of which have red dye which she is most allergic to) and her face and throat swelled up the mother in law suddenly remembered her sister stops breathing if she has artifical food colors.  Golly gee thanks for your help. Her sister has food allergies and so do the nephews thanks for thinking of your granddaughter.

I'll bring the dip and the half and half ;)

Meatloaf, baked potatoes, salad and blackberry cobbler.
Not exactly low carb, low fat, just plain old comfort food.
Steaks on the grill here tonight, baked potatoes, green beans and cherry cobbler. nm

Don't use cream of,,,,,,,
Instead of creamy mushroom soup, try the Golden Mushroom soup.  I think that is what it is called.  It is the dark mushroom soup.  Gives a sauce with more depth and flavor.  Anymore, I never use the cream of,,,,, alway use the goldren.

I would recommend Oil of Olay. My mom uses it and it has done wonders for her skin. She uses the serum and night cream.

progesterone cream!!!!!!
;
I liked the progesterone cream, only
read a warning California--(by the way, why do they get to have more warning labels than anywhere else--just noticed that) where they listed something in progesterone creams that is a carcinogen, but please check that out. I was using it and stopped because of that, but I thought the cream was working great on all my symptoms.

then I switched to the wild yam, which you can buy at any health food store, and it works a little differently. you can find all the info on the net (way too long here, sorry).

I hardly have hot/cold flashes anymore. I use a combination of taking 1 Vitex (chasteberry) and 1 to 2 evening oil of primrose each day. was also taking Don Quai, but stopped for a break because it is recommended.

something to keep in mind as well I read the hot/cold flashes and nightsweats are USUSALLY temporary, like mostly just in the beginning and will most likely go away, or at least diminish.

Suzanne Somers has some great info on this, if you purchase her book, which is probably a good investment as she has thoroughly investigated the subject. She is almost 60, and claims even to get a regular period. even tells you how you can lose weight. she is amazing, only I just do not have the kind of money for her products. I listen and get bits of information, then have to put together things I can afford, haha.

do you have people you can ask at the health food store you go to?

I am NOT sure how this all works with having had a TAH/BSO.

wish you the best...
The ice cream truck
The Mister Softee ice cream truck came every evening. You could hear his bell dinging wayyyy before he got to our street. On special occasions (i.e., daddy's payday) we were allowed to go a sundae or milkshake or rootbeer float. I read in the paper just the other day that the man who started Mister Softee recently died.
We saw an ice cream truck the other day (sm)
and my daughter was so excited. But I told her I doubt it if it would come up where we live because there is too much of a spread between houses. We saw it going through a housing development. Which makes sense, but was a disappointment for my daughter (and me!!!!). I remember playing outside and hearing the music way in the distance. I would run to get dimes from my Mom or Dad. That is a VERY pleasant memory. Thanks to OP for starting this topic.
We have an ice cream truck come through
our neighborhood every day. They have all the good stuff from the good ol' days!

Okay interested parties!  I'm experiencing some turbulence, but I think I'll be alright.  HE has no where to go.  No one wants to help him out.  He is trying to move back to his hometown, but even his family has turned him away.  It's not a nice feeling to have no one to fall back on.  He was soooo confident that he'd have a place to live.  He is really upset right now because he says I didn't try and I am going to be really happy now without him.  Ummmm, yes.   That's what the plan is.  He says I didn't try to save the marriage.  Pfffft!  That's all I've done.  It's difficult to be nice to someone who is so terrible to be around.  I have done all I can do.  My sympathy for him is running very very thin, just like my patience.  I am going to swallow my pride and beg for help from everyone.  I'm networking.  That's all I can do.  I am from Illinois so I if anyone out there has information to give I'd appreciate it.  He's trying to drag me down, but I won't let him.  I've come too far to go back now.  Be proud of me, it's okay, I won't disappoint.  I can't....
Noritate cream which is once a day application...
I take Tetracycline 500 mg twice a week and was put on a cream that had to be applied twice a day. That was impossible for me!! So, my family doctor told me about a cream, Noritate which is applied once a day. The tetracycline is good for breakouts, but I don't have to take it every day. The cream can be put on once a day, at night. So this works out pretty well for me. Good luck!!
correct on cream it is Vanicream.

Milk, Cream and Alcohol...
Oh, that's too funny with the doc prescribing a cycle of beer! There's an old blues song with the lyrics "Your doctor put you on milk, cream and alcohol." Maybe it's the same doc!

The Good Humor ice cream truck! They still
sell some of the products in the store, but it is nowhere near as good.  The vanilla ice cream bars covered with toasted almonds!  The half and half popsicles with flavors like rasberry and lime that were SO fruity!  The Good Humor man in his white outfit!  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  It was great!
Maybe a taco bar with an ice cream sundae bar for dessert? nm

Guess it depends on how porous his skin is-- try cold cream maybe? - sm
My kids have done all sorts of stuff, usually the face cleans up except for red in my experience...fades over a week or so. But cold cream is good for make up so maybe it will work, if you don't have any handy maybe a thick moisturizer? Obviously the hands are not an issue since they won't be in the picture, you can always try a liquid make-up if it doesn't come off and if the make up does not look weird. Good luck.....you can always keep him home or arrange for him to do the make-up picture for kids who are sick...they always have a make up picture day...find out when it is and just do it then.

and then expect everyone else to overlook the facts.

* According to the latest US Department of Justice survey of crime victims, more than 6.6 million violent crimes (murder, rape, assault and robbery) are committed in the US each year, of which about 20 per cent, or 1.3 million, are inter-racial crimes.

* Most victims of race crime - about 90 per cent - are white, according to the survey “Highlights from 20 Years of Surveying Crime Victims", published in 1993.

* Almost 1 million white Americans were murdered, robbed, assaulted or raped by black Americans in 1992, compared with about 132,000 blacks who were murdered, robbed, assaulted or raped by whites, according to the same survey.

* Blacks thus committed 7.5 times more violent inter-racial crimes than whites even though the black population is only one-seventh the size of the white population. When these figures are adjusted on a per capita basis, they reveal an extraordinary disparity: blacks are committing more than 50 times the number of violent racial crimes of whites.

* According to the latest annual report on murder by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, most inter-racial murders involve black assailants and white victims, with blacks murdering whites at 18 times the rate that whites murder blacks.

These breathtaking disparities began to emerge in the mid-1960s, when there was a sharp increase in black crime against whites, an upsurge which, not coincidentally, corresponds exactly with the beginning of the modern civil rights movement. Over time, the cumulative effect has been staggering. Justice Department and FBI statistics indicate that between 1964 and 1994 more than 25 million violent inter-racial crimes were committed, overwhelmingly involving black offenders and white victims, and more than 45,000 people were killed in inter-racial murders. By comparisons 58,000 Americans died in Vietnam, and 34,000 were killed in the Korean war. When non-violent crimes (burglary, larceny, car theft and personal theft) are included, the cumulative totals become prodigious. The Bureau of Justice Statistics says 27 million non-violent crimes were committed in the US in 1992, and the survey found that 31 per cent of the robberies involved black offenders and white victims (while only 2 per cent in the reverse).

When all the crime figures are calculated, it appears that black Americans have committed at least 170 million crimes against white Americans in the past 30 years. It is the great defining disaster of American life and American ideals since World War II. All these are facts, yet by simply writing this story, by assembling the facts in this way, I would be deemed a racist by the American news media. It prefers to maintain a paternalistic double-standard in its coverage of black America, a lower standard.

Not to mention drugs, irresponsible reproducing habits, and welfare fraud. Gee, they have an attitude? Aw, too bad.

Start your own business. Don't be lazy AND greedy.
I have them at my desk but no, I don't bring anything
to the living room to work. I've been on my same accounts with each company I work for since I started with them and I know the dictators extremely well.

I have an advantage with Spheris that I don't with MQ in that I can look up past reports by any criteria - by dictator, by patient, etc., to find anything that is a pattern.

The only book I occasionally reference is Tessier's The Surgical Word Book. Other than that, I have many online refences provided by both companies that they specifically want me to use.

I've done this over 20 years and I'm very fortunate -- I just don't have to look many things up anymore. When I do, it is usually a new product - instrument, drug, procedure, treatment, etc. Yesterday, I had to look up "Fansler speculum", which I had never had before. Probably refer to that book maybe 2-3 times a week. Spheris always sends me a new updated word list that includes newest information about every month. MTDesk has some really good references.

I have well over 70 websites that are "favorites" for reference.

When I travel and want to work, I only take The Surgical Word Book with me.

Happy doing it this way! It works for me, and my MTSO has not complained once!
like to bring the QA issue to the top

There was a discussion about how MTs would prefer QA to handle correction situations.  Here's an example.  Right now doing QA on several "new" MTs that were kind of thrown into a new account.  They were all suppose to be very well qualified and only suppose to review for "format" issues.  Well.....spending a great deal of time adding text that was left out, changing things transcribed that was totally off the wall, besides the format part just not getting yet.  I try to be as 'tactful" as I possibly can, offer useful tips, give websites for lokking up info, etc.  But right now falling so behind and still making same "format" corrections I was two weeks ago because still not getting it right or just not reading E-mails!!  Our responsibilities only go so far.  We have to help but you also have to help yourself.  Don't transcribe anything you haven't documented somewhere and NEVER leave words out!!   That's my 2 cents!!
