That is "...$300-$400 suddenly taken out of my pay..."

They took that to pay full coverage for my insurance, basically I suppose they put me into Cobra status.  Then I had to spend several pay periods producing 12,000 lines to get BACK with insurance through them.  Of course some pay periods during that "trial" again I couldn't make the 12,000 lines (and that was with 20+ years of transcription/////but they give you the really difficult reports because of experience - which is fine unless that is your steady diet!!!)....anyway I got tired of the "game" they were playing - and trust me it is a game - and I finally said SE please.

I would have left then but I had just learned the accounts, spent all the money to get set up, and couldn't afford to change companies again and be slowed down again making lines for a new company with new platforms, new doctors, you know - that learning curve.

I don't know why people working for these nationals can't get the concept.  We are NOT machines.  We are humans.  You can't just have us dial into any hospital in the world and MAKE A LIVING ON A PRODUCTION BASIS not being familiar with the doctors, platforms, area towns and foreign doctor names to the that particular hospital, different ways of bringing in macros --- they don't get it.  You can't have speed/vis a vis MAKE A LIVING - skipping around.

It is an Adesso PCK-308UB. There is also one that uses a PS/2 plug, but I want this one so I can use it with my laptop if I need it. From what I have read, it is basically like a touchpad on a laptop so you don't need a mouse. I probably would not use it for regular web surfing or anything, mainly just for mousing while transcribing.
