I realized it was an addiction or tolerance when I was shorted several pills by my pharmacy and I started to go through withdrawals within an hour after I missed a dose. I was so desperate for pain relief when I started seeing a pain management specialist that I guess I didn't ask enough questions. I wonder now if he would have been forthcoming with the truth about Oxycontin, anyway. I guess as long as you stay addicted to it the doctor gets his money. I have to go in once a month by law now - which I am sure has cut back on its usage. I know that it is very popular on the streets, too, although I have never experienced a high or euphoria from it. It is a slow release pill - I just know that when I take it my body doesn't hurt. I appreciated your information on a rehab clinic.
