you are off. You should have no problems. I went through that after major illness and surgery with no problems whatever. If you do this diligently, stick to your guns, last couple of days do same doses for 2 days rather than 1, then go to every other day, then off, you should be fine with no withdrawal

If these boards have a terrible reputation, it's because they are full of people who are incredibly defensive. "Oops" or "Thanks for pointing this out" will do nicely if you make a mistake. "Get a life"? It's this kind of nastiness & hostility that gives a board a bad reputation, not someone pointing out an error.

the Valium in addition to lowering the Oxycontin as I stated
in my prior email. The Oxy is what you want to wean slowly 1/2 tab a day until the last few days do it 2 days in a row, then 1 day in a row, then every other day, then every 3rd day, then off. That is a little clearer and it does work and you won't have any side effects at all with the 2.5 mg or 5 mg of Valium once or twice a day. Then get yourself off the Valium the same way but you would not have been on it too long to just go off, but always best to wean.

Climara low dose patch
The night sweats or hot flashes as they call them disturbed my sleep to the point I was useless during the day time.
I concluded that I would take these hormones as I simply had to work at top performance at my job and get things done around the house as well.
I'll deal with the "change" when I am retired and can walk around like a zombie. For now, I have to consider quality of life.
I tried several before Climara and though it is not on my formulary (50.00/month), I take it to live normally.
Now I realize why women my age sometimes can look ravaged.
I used it but it tended to "junk me up" so I took only a tiny dose...sm
for sleep, trazodone is better. It's an old antidepressant that's not really good for anything other than putting you out. However, if you need to wake up in the middle of the night (small children, etc.) you can pop right out of sleep and it doesn't have the hangover effect like benadryl or Xanax. So maybe ask about trying that. And I know, maybe I spelled trazodone wrong but I don't have my spellchecker on this board LOL!
After 15 years of being treated for depression on and off, and severe anxiety, I finally found a wonderful therapist. He got me out of a chronic low grade depression without any antidepressants AT ALL which I would have bet could not be done. So maybe think of that, too?

It definately helped me. From the first dose I took I had no urge at all to smoke.
Unfortunately though I had a bad reaction to the medication and had to stop it after only a few days. I should say though that the reaction I had to the Wellbutrin had absolutely nothing to do with a side effect, but rather it exacerbated a prior medical problem I had. It's definately worth a try IMO.
I also separate with semicolons--allows use of commas where needed within dose instructions. SM
I see the value of stopping each med with a period; but the voice rec programs I've worked with so far have been using commas (or nothing), and breaking the strings up with period+spaces+caps, etc. is much too time consuming. Plus, account instructions typically ask for either numbered lists or comma/semicolons anyway.

With the lower pay per line, I'd have to be able to
get 700-800 lph under that platform to make more money and there is no way to do that. The higher uppities have even admitted it is best for the slower people, not someone fast.

I would never, ever lower my rates. Is the one doctor in the group that is complaining a constant whiner? He may just be a tightwad that still has the first .01 he ever earned. Think about it - we complain about the cost of gas increasing and the cost of groceries increasing, but those businesses sure aren't going to drop the price of their product due to our complaining just to keep our business. You run a business and the point of that is to earn money. If you or a family member had to see this particular doctor, would he drop his office visit rate because you complained about his bill? Never!
Not only that, these are cardiologists - one of the elite money makers in the medical profession.
Write a note stating that you understand his concerns about the cost, but state that in spite of your expenses increasing along with everything else recently, you will agree not to go up on your rate for a year instead. Tell him while there is less expensive out there, it comes back to the old saying of, "you get what you pay for."

Line Count...lower pay
I have been doing transcription for many years now. For many of those years I was paid 9 cents/line per 70 character count with the WordPerfect 5.1 (DOS) program. I have now been switched over to Microsoft Word and there is a variation in word/line count and a drop in my pay. Can anyone explain this please?

I just started lower carb again too
and I absolutely love carbs. I love thick crusty bread, chips, pretzels, etc. A few years ago hubby and I did Atkins and we both lost 20+ pounds. I had gained some of it back, and then my dad died in October and I gained about 10 more pounds since then. I stay up late and watch tv and eat. Hubby wanted to go back on low carb and I was really resistant, but went ahead and started on Monday with him. We're not doing strict Atkins induction this time. Kind of in between South Beach and Atkins. I've really watched my carbs this week, though, even though I know I've had more than 3 cups of leafy veggies each day. Anyway, I love carbs, but I am already to the point where I'm not missing them. Seriously, my son had a bunch of fries left over last night and offered them to me and I turned them down...and I love fries. The other thing I've done is I've been drinking lots of diet green tea...trying out different brands. I swear my appetite is very down, a combination of the diet and drinking the green tea maybe? Since Monday, my weight is down 8 pounds, and I'm kind of in my "bloated phase" of the month, too.

I get routinely outbid for work by other services who are willing to do 24 hour TAT and fax or print the reports - all for 11 cents per line...So don't be too sure the services are making all the money either!
But you see, that's the problem. The lower wages go in the US, (sm)
the less any of us want to pay for things. But when you're on a limited budget and can't buy things any old time you want, one way to save money is to buy QUALITY. Then it LASTS. I may buy a couple cheap T-shirts at Ross that were made in Bangladesh, but I know they're expendable. I'll end up shrinking them the first time I wash them, and then use them as dust rags. But if I'm buying a coat, or a dress, or a CAR, then I go for quality. Even if it means waiting longer to get it, because then it will last, ultimately saving money in the long run. If I have to pay more for things (like gas, groceries, rent, etc.), then I demand a higher wage. If I don't get it, I look for an employer that will pay it. Too many people in this country (and especially offshore!)"settle" for the crappy wage just to get their foot in the door. Sometimes it's just better to go look for a different door.

It costs the companies considerably. This is passed onto the rest of us as restricted line rates.

I do not give a lower rate for any templates--I still--sm
have to pull them up and there are usually changes that I have to do. I charge my rate x 3 for envelopes and they supply the envelope. I also charge for cc's--if the name and address are provided. If not, I do not print an envelope for them, the office does.
Your other option would be to have his office print the envelope. My ink cartridge runs about 25-30$ depending on where I get them, and can get very expensive depending on the amount you will be printing each week.
I also do not take anything off my rate. I have figured how much I have to charge in order to make a profit and do not vary from that. If he gets you to drop your rate below your profit margin, guess how long it will take for him to spread the word to his friends that you will come down on your rates??
Well....he asked me to lower my line rate for him (sm)
which I did....then he asked that I make copies of everything he cc's and copies of the letters he dictates....then asked me to subtract off the templates he uses, even though I am using my ink to print these templates and making changes where he wants....it seems that I am spending more time doing these things than I am making any money. Just don't know what to do. I am not complaining, just need some helpful advice. Thanks
