what should I do ?

Hello all .. I'm presently working as a unit secretary, after my transcription job got outsourced.  I hate being a unit secretary for many, many reasons.  One reason is the pay - I took a cut from $21 an hour to $16 an hour and now work nights and alternate weekends!!  I miss transcription desperately - and found a dream job.  It's medical records transcription, 30 hours a week (completely flexible hours I want -  I can work 5 days, 7 days, or 12 hour days - and some hours from home eventually, also).   Oh - and full, union benefits.

The problem?  it pays $15.50 an hour!!  Less than what a unit secy makes!!  I'm devastated!  But the new dept seems wonderful - nice boss, relaxed atmosphere, hospital has good reputation, and it's doing the job I want - MT.  Of course I also work from home for a local MT company - that is thrilled I'll be more available for them.

Would you take this job - or hold out for an MT position that pays better ?   I live in NY, btw).  THanks everyone!  and Merry Christmas to all !
