Hi - I'm Dianne from Austin, Texas and I was an aspiring MT student for the past five weeks. I ordered an online course from The VLC, paid my $1300, and waited for the materials they promised to send within 10 business days. As I never received them, I used the online resouces to study and take my tests and exams, and being an RN for the past 20 years, I passed the terminology, A & P, and pharmacology tests and exams with a 98 average. I wrote and called them weekly to tell them I still hadn't even received the medical dictionary. And then I finished all I could do without the foot-pedal and CDs. So I began complaining more loudly, explaining to them that I have taken off of work to finish the course, and I'm now just sitting here waiting. Well, I finally got too loud, posting my frustration on their forum. The next day, they removed my posting, blocked my email, and wiped out all of my grades from the website. This has to be illegal, as I spent about 160 hours earning those grades, and as far as I knew, freedom of speech allows me to say "I still have no materials." But this Canadian based company must not agree with sending materials which have been paid for OR freedom of speech, because they have just erased everything I accomplished. Let this be a warning - I'm typing this letter rather than transcribing, and I'm not getting paid for this. Don't do business with this company!!!!

I did read your post earlier ... thanks for the heads up. I'm pretty much sure I'm going with CareerStep for about $1590 .. not much more than you paid. They do offer job placement services as well.
